Ball Acura - 2019 TLX - smp327
After making a trip to Kearny Mesa Acura and being treated poorly by sales, my wife and I decided to give Ball Acura which is much further from our home a try.
When we arrived we were greeted by Andy who was a gentlemen. He treated myself as well as my pregnant wife with respect. Andy was knowledgeable and more than willing to meet our payment goals. We worked with Sam and Andy to close the deal on a new 2019 TLX. This is the second car I have purchased from Ball Acura.

I have an Acura 2013, which manufacture uses conventional oil, not full synthetic oil. We switched to synthetic oil long ago and keeps using synthetic oil ever since with this dealer. Every time I told this dealer to keep whatever it uses, no change. Today, I just found out they changed it to conventional oil without noticing me. And they recommended synthetic oil to me this time. Ridiculous!

For the past 5 years, I have been taking my car for all of its services to Kearny Mesa Acura.
In general, I had a good experience, but that may have been because I trusted everything they told me and accepted all of their recommendations for service. I always gave them high ratings for their service in all the surveys I was sent.
Recently, I took my car there because of a battery issue and even though it wasn't yet the time for a service, I asked for a service which was soon due.
I was contacted and was told that I needed an alignment because I had recently changed the tires. I wasn't sure if it was necessary, but because I trusted them, I decided to do it.
The service was done and later when I talked to other mechanics and researched on the Internet, I realized it is not necessary after tire change unless you have an issue.
After I took the car back, I noticed a new problem that wasn't there before the service. The steering wheel was shaking really bad when braking. I called them and took the car there again.
They inspected the car and said that they had already reported that issue to me. What they had reported was slight pulsation, which probably was so mild that I hadn't even noticed, while the pulsation is significant now after the service.
I talked to the service representative and the service manager, but they didn't take responsibility for the created (or worsened) issue and said the issue wasn't caused by service. Instead of that, the only solution they offered me was to sell me more services (brake rotor resurfacing, etc.) to resolve an issue which didn't exist before the service.
Their only excuse was that they hadn't done anything to the brakes, so they are not responsible for the issue. They didn't seem to care much about the customer experience and inconvenience they had caused.
I have lost my trust in Kearny Mesa Acura and will never take my car back there again.
