Sport Subaru service reps have always been top of the line with us since we purchased our accent. However when we came in yeaterday to talk about the paint job on our car, we checked in with Paul who has always provided excellent service to us since he has been our service representative. After discussing the roughness of our paint Paul had the car washed and wax to see if the surface of the paint still felt rough and it did. Paul requested his service manager, Chad Vance to come out and check it. After talking with Chad we were told this was not covered under the paint warranty we had purchased. My wife or I did not care for the tone of Chad's voice. We felt we were sold a bogus warranty from what we remember being told about the warranty from the sales associate at the time of purchase. After leaving a little angry after dealing with Chad. I had mentioned contacting the FTC about being lied to on that particular warranty it didn't phase Chad and he just said go ahead and contact them. That's when I felt that maybe we made a mistake dealing with Sport Subaru. Anyway got home and read through the warranty again and Chad was right, there was nothing I could do and the warranty expires this month so not even worth canceling, lesson learned on warranties. My apologies to Chad but still did not care for the frustrated tone in his voice. If we ever decide to buy from subaru again we will not be purchasing the extra warranties. Thank you for your time.
