I made an appointment to get my 2019 F150 in for a brake - fairlane
I made an appointment to get my 2019 F150 in for a brake fluid leak. When I showed up for the appointment - they said I didn't have one. I pointed out that I had text and a voice mail from them confirming the appointment. Didn't matter - they didn't even try to run down why they couldn't see the appointment in their system - but they were super eager to slap some alignment tools on my front tires so they could try to sell me an alignment. I told them what was wrong - I knew exactly where the leak was coming from and how it happened - so they charged $179.98 for a diagnostic fee. The service writer simply typed in my words - and that cost $179.98. They then charged me $139.50 for a brake hose that Ford Motor Company's online OEM parts website retails for $57.32 - and $704 in labor to change that brake hose. $958.51 to replace a $57 brake hose. I asked how they came to this number - got no response other than "Well, we do have to bleed the brakes, you know." Yes, you must bleed the brakes - but did you have to bleed the customer? Never again.
