I went to Hyundai on Perryville on Sunday February 2, 2020 in Rockford, IL. It was my first time time ever going to a dealership and they had a female as a service advisor and it was female empowerment all day long. Every other place I ever went to they always have guys, and that threw me for a shock because at car dealerships the females normally work in cashier or sales department only. My service advisor was Roberta Hagaman and she is very smart and kind person. The rest of the staff are really nice too. It is a very clean place. If you are looking for a place with smart, nice and caring staff and clean this is the place to go!!! There is no need to stop anywhere else if you are looking for a Hyundai dealership in Illinois.

After having your car in for warranty or recall work (when you don’t have to pay for service), your “check engine” light will go on after a couple of weeks. You take it in and you’re told the O sensor is malfunctioning and will cost more than $400 to repair. This happened to me last year. When I had another car in for service this year, I overheard two more people had the O sensor on their car repaired and a man came in saying the check engine light went on after he just had his car in for recall work.
Nick Hogan is a lying cheat. He’ll give you one repair price over the phone then increase it by $60-$80 when you pick up your car. Then he acts like he’s doing you a favor by producing a $40 off coupon.
Ed Guel is unprofessional and either incompetent or a liar. I took my car in for “scheduled” maintenance on a Wednesday morning. He called me back with a list of costly repairs. When I tell him just to do the maintenance, he insists the car will be ready by then end of the day or the next morning. When I don’t hear from Ed the next morning, I leave voice mails and emails but no response. Finally he calls me back on Saturday. He said he left a message. I told him I don’t have voice mail and the last time he called me was 2:05 Wednesday because my phone records incoming calls.. He then said he left a message with a woman. I told him no one answered my phone but me because everyone else at home was at work. Then he apologized claiming he mis-dialed. He is either 1) blatantly lying because he thinks I’m an idiot or 2) incompetent by mis-dialing a phone number when phone systems have a re-dial feature. Here’s the kicker: this is EXACTLY what he said last year when he did not return my call when my car was in for repairs. According to the repair sheet, the car was ready at 4:35 Thursday afternoon. Ed would have had to be working overtime to call me.
I’m paying hundreds of dollars and Ed lacks the courtesy to update me. If he called me Thursday morning to say the care wasn’t ready, I would have appreciated it or sent an email.

This is the second time this has happened. Called back and dealer verified the mistake. This could be confusing if one relies on the sticker. Pugi service department needs to rectify its computer program.

I am so tired of dealing with dealership because the customer service is HORRIBLE! Even though I bought my vehicle from here the service stinks. If you are able to get to speak to someone on line they don't provide any of the correct information or they bounce you around from line to line until after all the waiting they hang up. They've had my car now for a week and not only have I not heard anything... I cant even reach them to find out whats wrong with my car and how much are they going to overcharge me to fix it. Although I purchased my car from here, and it near me, I know there is another dealership with better customer service/ appreciation than this. Once I go there which is inconvenient for me because I'm on one foot I will not return to River Oaks Hyundai again. Each time I've visited here I experienced issues with the staff.

Why do they keep calling me and saying that same xxxxxxxx. I told the guy today you keep putting hard inquires on my credit. My car tires were totally fine when I drove in my car in Hyundai Autonation. I went there for some other service, they fixed it but with that they said one of my car tires has a nail in it. There was no nail, no TPMS sign when I went there. They showed me the nail, it was like a brand new screw. I had no choice other than agreeing and asking them to fix it. Please don’t go here.

1.I was questioned on how my company I work for handling their pay stubs for proof of income, was hassled over that...
2. I was told I left my house key there and they would mail the key to me I never saw it and had to get a new key...
3. Lastly the kicker they never told me the car was in some kind of an accident and it was not listed on any car reports that my used vehicle was in an accident. Within a month of getting the car the front bumper paint started bubbling up, meaning the car was recently painted and not done correctly.
I call on the problem and they stated I would have to wait two weeks for them to look at it and send it off...
I go in today, and was told yes the car has a record of the dealership getting it painted but since I am over my miles of bumper to bumper they won’t cover it...
Meaning the two weeks I waited for them to get me in I put enough miles to go over that...
I stated why don’t we just take back to who painted it and Jamie rudely stated no we are not doing that or covering anything... I drove 80 miles for them to tell me that, in the horrendous weather today.
Why wouldn’t they tell me the car was in an accident and got painted ? 2. Because they didn’t tell me that, they told me today you bought a used car and your responsibility now...
Yes I was irritate and not welcoming but Jamie was so rude to me and I drove there to find a way to make this right!

hello used this dealership due to issues with selling dealer when car was purchased, the issue is desensitized service personnel, a steering issue is apparent three times sent vehicle to this dealer first time, steering is problematic, so they tightened steering column, when originally brought car there they actually said this year auto has possible component issues in the steering, second time brought back and the tech said put new tires on and have wheel alignment, i acknowledge the tires were bad but this steering issue is still there and felt it wasn't related to an alignment, the tires were replaced and called hyundai corporate this individual very considerate and concerned with our safety and satisfaction she referred specifically to service manager. now they claim nothing is wrong with car and claim it is a design issue with electric steering motor and they never acknowledged to the corporate person we were even there for service.
