Brought in 2018 Elantra for diagnostics and was told it - ohfrak
Brought in 2018 Elantra for diagnostics and was told it needed a new engine for $6000. Had the car towed to another shop for second opinion and discovered that a spark plug was broken. It was replaced and the car runs like new.
So, it was obvious that the Demontrond "diagnosis" was either a lie or just laziness.
I tried calling for several weeks to request a refund for the diagnostic work (they charged me around $160), but nobody from Demontrond would take my call, nor return my call. I finally spoofed my number and they answered on the first ring. I explained the situation to them, and they said they'd ask their "boss" if he'd agree to a refund and get back to me.
Of course, they never did.
So, I'm still out the $160.
Stay FAR away from this "business".
