My wife and I had the opportunity to utilize the services of Street VW this past weekend (May 22nd, 2021). We were coming back from a long roadtrip from the Grand Canyon and needed our brakes serviced. We live in Chicago and since we were hundreds of miles from home, the repair couldn't wait another day. Thankfully, your talented repair staff was more than willing to help us out of a bind. Not only was the service process quick, but we truly felt that we were being cared for, from the transparent diagnostic to the snacks and drinks available in the waiting area.
We would also like to offer a special thank you to Marcy Salazar our service advisor, who took our initial call and proceeded to guide us through the repair process. Marcy treated us with compassion and respect and made it her mission to get us back on the road. To be quite honest, we did not expect this kind of communication, service and empathy from a car dealership. If we were locals, we would surely bring all our car needs to Street VW.

This team truly cares about you and your car - JesseGreathouse
Brant Palumbo went above and beyond the call of duty to help me. The circumstances I was going through were very difficult, and Brant and the team were very accommodating and understanding with my needs. It is rare that a customer feels that the service center truly cares about them as a person, but I felt that with Charles Maund Volkswagen, and it is in no doubt thanks to Brant and the entire team at the service center.

Great customer service - vnr
My salesman Greg Powell was very kind and patient. He was not “pushy” at all. No complaints. Finance manager was a little inpatient and “pushy” though. Overall, great customer service.
Service beyond the invoice - bdallin
I took my 2014 Jetta S/W in because the tire pressure light came on. They have Nitrogen for my green capped tires. After they brought the air pressure up where required, they also washed it and cleaned the interior. The best part, no charge. Yes I will use them for future service.

My 2013 Volkswagen showed a Check Engine light for the first time ever. I have had zero problems with this car. So actually I’m pretty lucky not to have had to bring it to Payne Volkswagen very often. This morning I took it in to computer scan the engine. As always, every employee was friendly and cheerful. I especially appreciated the kindness. courtesy and knowledge of Thomas, the mechanic who took in my car. He was very thorough and explained things very well. I will revisit on Friday when the needed part comes in.

The service dept advisor Jorge is wonderful to work with.
Lost a star due to I ordered a cap to cover the towing spit on the front bumper and it only comes w/ primer not painted. I have to take it to a body shop to be painted. Not my idea of good customer service. I know it's not Jorge's responsibility.

Principle VW service center is wonderful to work with.... - Sunnybella0
Principle VW service center is wonderful to work with. The sales dept is not. Ive owned a VE my entire life (eye roll) but the folks in the service center are great. The sales dept is not honest in their tactics so I’ll never go back there. I’ll drive elsewhere for sales. Just wanted to make a clear distinction aince these reviews are lumped in together here.

This place is not professional at all, my son has taken the car several times with them and each time they leave a bad job, they painted the car and less than a year and the paint fell off, I took him to see the problem and the manager He said they couldn't do anything, they took a lot of money from the insurance company so they could put a painting on it that didn't work, they just want the insurance money !!!!
Service Department - a65casias
This is continued from a previous review. I haven't had a chance to talk to the manager. I took my car in this past Wednesday because the car was shaking a little and I wanted them to check my tires to see if It was time to replace them since it is a 2013, but I purchaded it the end of Dec 2014, which means I've only had the vehicle 3 months. The man at Service, named Leroy assured me that he has been with Honda and Volkswagen for 38 years he would take care of everything. After waiting 4 hours just to check that out, Leroy assured me that I didn't need new tires I was good for another 5-10,000 miles. He said they balanced the 2 front tires and reset it since they put the correct air in the tires. I drove straight home after that. The next morning as soon as I took off to work the light for low tires went on, I immediately called Leroy and assured me there was nothing wrong with the tires, he said the mechanics said everything was fine, and apologized and asked if I could take the car in again and I said no because I got off work at 8pm. By the time lunch came around my tire was really low so I didn't drive it until it was time to go home. I put air in it and the next morning I took the car to Walmart since I work right next door and I had a nail at the very edge of the tire that couldn't be replaced and a crack on the tire. If they removed the tire, it could burst open. I had a lady as well as another gentleman tell me the back tire was really bad and the other 2 tires were pretty worn as well. I had to go and purchase tires at Ssms immediately because my job involves driving. I specifically told Leroy I didn't want to do the tire balance if I needed new tires. Why was I going to pay for a tire balance at Volkswagen and at SAMs. They charged me 30.00 for absolutely nothing and wasting my time. I will never take my vehicle their again. Maybe the dealership is better but being an employee for so many years you think they would know how to check tires properly. Extremely disappointed in the gentleman that helped me. Still want to contact the manager.

We looked at the used diesel Passats online from several dealerships and talked to our credit union prior to deciding to visit Archer. When we decided to go look at a specific Passat, we scheduled an appointment with Matt. We showed up, looked at several Passats and a few Jettas. We told Matt what we were thinking. He gave us a fair offer on a Passat we liked. We went home to think about it. The next day we came back in. Matt had the car detailed that previous day in hopes we were buying it. We did the paper work and left with it. It went quick, no real pressure sales, and just honest business.
About 3 months later the vehicle died on the freeway. We had it towed to Archer. The high pressure pump destroyed itself. Archer gave us a loaner vehicle and replaced the entire fuel system ($$$$) in the time they quoted and with out costing me a penny (warranty). They additionally did a brake job that was needed at zero cost.
My story sounds like a fantasy if you've ever dealt with a dealership service department. We have suffered through Clear Lake Dodges service department so I know the horrors or bad service. My experience was a great one with Archer. I laughed it was so easy and smooth.
Paid a lot of money but PROBLEM was not repaired - big5618
Took my 99 VW rialto to automax VW because I wanted to make sure this got done even though I would spend more money to get it fixed. instrument cluster not working, You tube videos show what is most likely wrong and how to fix. They would not fix it just replace the whole unit but they no longer make them. Heater not working. lots of foam coming out of vents. You tube videos show that the foam is from the blender doors which is a rectangular piece of metal with a lot of quarter sized holes like Swiss cheese. this is covered with a foam to make the doors solid and over time the foam comes off leaving the door with holes. several quick fixes are to cover with muffler tape etc. also videos show that over time the heater core gets clogged and needs to be flushed out unclogging it. I explained all this to the service writer. nearly 700 dollars later I find that they will not attempt to re[air the instrument cluster as I described and will only replace the whole unit which I can't because they don't make them anymore. they said my serpentine belt needed to be replaced but just had it replaced like 7 months ago and have not put more than a 100 to 150 miles on the vehicle since. They then said the coolant hose is leaking and needs to be replaced which is why I have no heat. I reminded them about what I pointed out before and they said it was the hose. Although I was not low on coolant before I took it to them and have never noticed a leak, I let them change it and it did not fix the heat problem. they suggested changing the heater core. the paperwork they gave me said the blend doors foam had come off and suggest replacing the blower unit that has the blend doors and that the heater core was partially clogged and recommended replacing the whole unit. Not once would they attempt to remedy the issues without just replacing the whole unit. They make less money if they had done what I asked and they would also be known as a repair facility that bends over backwards for the customer to get their vehicle back on the road whether it be conventionally or unconventionally and what hurts the costumers pocketbook the least. All that money spent knowing what was wrong and how to fix it and my vehicle is still not repaired. I will go to the place I have always gone from now on for all my repair needs since in the past they always did what they could to get me back on the road even if it was a temp fix with the understanding of no warranty. I gave 1 star because I could not give any less in this review. I WILL NEVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN. TOTAL RIP OFF.
