Car buying experience - Mac
Jeff Campbell was my salesman, I was referred to him by a co worker who also had a great experience with him. I initially made contact with Jeff prior to the new year but did not purchase a vehicle until 3 months later. Jeff always kept it real with me and fought to the nail to assist me in all ways.
The only issue I noticed at this dealership, when other salesman walked past me some greeted me and some did not.
Overall my experience with Jeff was very pleasant along with the finance manager.

We have a great friend Chuck Padgett that works at Days in Jasper.
Randy commented to him that he was thinking of trading for a larger truck.
He suggested we come by and see what they have on the lot. We were out and
decided to stop in and see what they had at the spur of the moment. In less than three hours
we were driving out with that truck. Tammy Walker was our sales person and she was great! She understood that we were no nonsense kind of buyers....and basically cut it down to basics....she worked it as much as possible and we all came to great ending. Randy came away very happy with exactly what he was looking for.

2018 Tahoe - Satisfied Customer
I'm not an easy customer, I have bought a new vehicle every 2-3 years my entire adult life, so I know I think I know the ends and outs of how dealers jack customers around. I dealt with a good sales rep named T.J via email for about two weeks....first about ordering a specific model of Suburban, equipped the way I wanted it as opposed to the way a dealer orders them for the masses. I just couldn't pull the trigger on ordering one, because you WILL pay very, very close to MSRP on it. (If someone knows a way to order one and get a deep discount on it, please let me know!).
Anyway, I decided to go a different direction and hold off.
A couple of weeks later, I was driving by and thought "what the xxxx, let's see what's on their lot" and pulled in. This is where it get's good....I parked my RAM 2500 and got out and walked around for 20-30 minutes looking at their inventory and not one person accosted me. I liked that. In fact, being jumped as soon as I pull on a dealer lot is the one thing that makes me get out of there ASAP. I hate aggressive salesmen. So I see three stunning 2018 Tahoe's....black, 4x4, Z71 package, Midnight Edition. (I would love to see this in a Suburban). I check them all out, still not being accosted. So I walk inside, ask for TJ and we proceeded to go look at the Tahoe's. It was good timing on my part, so let's just say that TJ and Day's Chevy made a sales offer I was very comfortable with.
So just for giggles, I asked them to make me an offer on my 2015 RAM 2500 (which was VERY nice...Cummins diesel, leveled, 4x4, Laramie, Crew Cab, 8 foot bed, Warn winch, Fuel rims, Micky T 35" off road tires and only 10,300 miles on it). Well about 30 minutes later, Days made me an offer on my RAM I just couldn't turn down.
So I got a great deal on a new Tahoe and a more than fair price on my RAM 2500.
Aside from all of those good things I've mentioned, the facilities were immaculate and I only had to speak with two people.....TJ and Chris (the paperwork guy).
Days Chevrolet has the right business model for a modern dealership in my experience.

Just about every time I bring me car in for a grease & oil change I have had to bring my car back in before I even leave so they could put air in my tires. No one has checked it. This time they did not even reset my oil gauge to 100%. I am just wondering what else they did do. I thought this was a 6 point inspection. I never got a sheet for one.

I went to a another dealership and received a diagnosis and an excessively large quote on repairs. I received a second opinion from Goodmark Chevrolet and they discovered the real problem which was ultimately a much cheaper repair. I am thankful that they did not try and up sell me repairs that were not necessary.

Was promised an upgrade to what I needed in the vehicle in order to get me to purchase. Once purchased, was told that upgrade was not possible. When I tried to get the issue resolved, no one would return my call or speak to me. They lied to get the sale then changed story. Places like this give dealerships a bad name. No customer service or integrity.

I bought a used Silverado some years ago at another dealer. I went in for an oil change and was told I needed to replace my oil pan gasket for $300 and some dollars. I looked at the oil pan and it looked like someone had smeared oil on it--not seepage. I watched it for the next five years and never had a spot on the driveway or needed to add oil. I never went back until today. I called about replacing my airbag igniter and was told the part was there and scheduled appointment for the next day. When I showed up at the dealer they did not have the part and had no idea who made the appointment. They are 0 for 2 and will never have another chance with me.
