We explained to him what we wanted, and he was not the least bit pushy, as some car salesmen are. He was exceptionally polite, and made us feel quite at ease. He notified me when the car was ready, and when I mentioned to him that I did not have a ride available to me at the time, he made arrangements to send someone to pick me up and take me to the dealership. I would SERIOUSLY recommend avoiding this dealership for buying a car. I purchased two "certified" used vehicles from them a month or so ago - a CRV and an Odyssey. We're having twins, so safety is important to us, and one of the reasons we wanted certified vehicles. Within two weeks of purchase, I had to replace all four tires of the CRV and I was jumping the car every morning because the battery was leaking and corroded. When I reached out to the general manager via email, I never heard back.
It was pretty obvious that neither car had actually been inspected as part of the certification process, and the dealership just straight up lied about it. How in the world am I now supposed to feel confident that either of these vehicles are safe for my family?
I've had to involve Honda's corporate office, and it's a big headache. Don't be dumb like me. There are a LOT of good Honda dealerships around. Fletcher Jones Honda is being run by folks who apparently have no issue acting unethically for a quick buck. The kind of people who give car dealerships a bad name. Be smarter than me and go to a different dealership.

We we looking for a car and wanted to test drive a 2018 Honda Accord. Joe was our salesman and was extremely easy to deal with. He allowed us to test drive a car for the amount of time we needed to test all the amazing safety features. The car was great-fun to drive with all the bells and whistles. But we had to think about our decision to buy.
Joe was very understanding when we choose to go home to think. We did not have to sit and wait to "meet the manager" nor did he subject us to any pressure whatsoever. We had a lot of questions and he answered all of them, knowing that we were not going to buy that day. Also, the dealership and Joe did NOT call us constantly asking us if we had made a decision.
My husband and I both agree that dealing with Joe was a pleasure and we would recommend him and Castle Honda to familty and friends.

No one greated me when I walked in. Had to ask for help, the guy didn’t seem enthusiastic about what he was doing. They were able to provide the service that I originally came in for but when a situation arose where there was something wrong with the car because of something that Honda service did and not anything that I did or that the car did on it’s own but a Honda service that made a mistake, they refused to pay for it and said I would have to pay for their mistake at an outrageous price. They told me if I wanted it fixed I would have to pay for their mistake or call another dealership. So I called the dealership at valley Honda in Aurora and they took care of everything. They picked up my car from my own home so I didn’t have to waste more of my time, they fixed the honest mistake that was made by Honda and I didn’t have to pay a dime. They texted me and called me continuously with updates and dropped my car back to my house same day. Now that’s how to take care of a customer. Go to the valley Honda in Aurora because the McGrath dealership didn’t help me at all when the problem arose. this really shows what kind of business they are running compared to the other Honda dealership. I’m just being honest of how the situation played out. They could have handled the situation differently and they didn’t.

First, the sales guy agrees to a price $800 under sticker. Then the finance guy says he can't do that, but on "good faith", he'll take off $300. But his tricky xxx still tacked it on in an offer listed as optional- that he didn't make sound optional, as he had us sign things. Then, he tacks on another near $3000 for a warranty package that he verbally described as "something Honda does", not something we pay for. So, instead of paying sticker price minus $800, we paid sticker PLUS $3000.

I will be 72 yrs old in a few months, and I have purchased numerous new vehicles over those years, but doing business with Muller Honda of Gurney has been far the best I have ever encountered. The sales person, Nick Reed, has got to be the best, friendliest, honest person I have ever done business with! Everyone I came in contact with at this dealership was kind and friendly. The finance office was fast and efficient. Any discrepancies were dealt with immediately and honestly. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. My salesman, Nick Reed, just left my house! He came out personally to install a option on my CR-V that was inadvertently left off! He saved me a long drive from Huntley, IL back to the dealer in Gurney, how many salesman would do that??? I walk in without an appointment for my honda crv. The moment I walked in the office, I was greeted by the staff. I can sense that they really like the place they work inand loves their job. The service is fast. After finishing up, the technician discussed about future repairs that I should do to the car. The technician is not forcing it but recommends it. This review is meant to describe my car buying experience at the AutoNation Honda Dealership, in Des Plaines, IL.
To whom it may concern,
I purchased a Honda Civic from AutoNation Honda on Saturday, November, 25th.
My initial communication with the dealership was online through their website. We settled on a great price via email and verbal communication through Kim, a sales associate at the dealership. The dealership was having its holiday special black Friday sale so we expected the delay in service but we were eventually attended to by our sales person Phil.
First, I brought in a Ford F-150 truck for a potential trade, but selling or trading in the truck was not my main purpose at the dealership, just purchasing a reliable Honda Civic. The appraiser at the dealership spent over 90 minutes appraising the truck and crunching the numbers only to come back to me with an extremely low price at $4,5,00 under CarMax's appraisal and $2,500-$3,500 under Muller's Honda dealership in Highland Park, which only took them 10 minutes to get me a better price. The big point here was that if AutoNation had no intention of purchasing my truck I would have appreciated if they didn't waste my time on an already long purchasing experience.
I arrived at the dealership around 1 pm and left with my New Honda Civic after closing hours around 7:30 PM.
Next, two days later on Monday, November 27th my mechanic looked over my new vehicle only to find an engine oil leak. I reported the leak to my salesman at the dealership and he advised me to bring it in. The service associate Spencer said that it wasn't a big enough of a problem for them to fix or give me a rental car for them to look over. The dealership completely dismissed the problem with my new car. I bought a new vehicle in order to avoid dealing with these problems that shouldn't exist. I drove the car back to my mechanic so that he could look at the car again and it continued to leak oil. My mechanic advised me to return the car if the dealership didn't want to fix the problem.
Friday, December 1st after many hours wasted trying to get the dealership to acknowledge and fix the problem, they communicated to me via phone stating that I had to come back to the dealership because they had lost my contract/documents for the car. I asked them to send me the documents via email of what they wanted me to sign but never received anything. I have all the documentation and proof of purchase that I received from the dealership.
Next, I received several communications via voicemail and email stating how now they wanted to correct the leak/problem with my new car.
To be honest, at this point, confidence and trust have diminished with this dealership. The whole point of this review is to document these events for me, warranty repair, and to others...buyers be aware... caveat emptor.
