Honda Service Department always gets my car in and out of service in timely manner. They make suggestions as to what needs to or should be done soon to keep my car in tip top shape. They are never pushy about getting it done right now, unless it’s something that could be a danger to me while driving. They are always very friendly and the dealership is always clean. They usually have coffee/donuts and/or fruit to customers waiting on their vehicle. Cashier is always very professional and friendly.
Dec 1998, I came away from there w/the best car I ever owned - Debra Shrole
Of course this was many yrs ago, but it was Dec 18th( I believe) 1998. I was a single mom driving an old boat of a car. The other dealers in Conroe wouldn't give me the time of day, by the way. Found the perfect car (unbeknownst to me @ the time) from a wonderful salesman (who cared). I drove that '96 Grand Am til 2007 when it finally died w/ 433,000 miles on it. And I have told everyone! Unfortunately, I moved away from the Conroe area. When I've been close, couldn't afford to "shop" for a car. I may be in the market still yet, & may still pay them a visit.

Be careful - Alex
I was given a long talk how this dealership differes from other as they don't have any hidden cost. The sales price agreed with the salesman was not reflected on the invoice, which conveniently was not show during signing process. It was put together with other papers in sealed envelope, which I opened only a day after. Be careful and review every line.
Excellent service! - KB Galveston

Not A Honest Place - kduwayne77
I was dealing with dealer for about a week and tried to negotiate the price; knowing that it's already overpriced. I checked the CarFax and any information out there pertaining to a 2012 GMC Terrain. When I asked about him lowering the price, I didn't hear back from this salesman for days. I happen to just follow up with him and all of a sudden there is supposedly something wrong with the transmission. None of this was stated when we first started communicating. So I asked, if there's something wrong with the transmission, why is it still listed on AutoTrader and why none of that information is available. He continued with the dishonesty and if this was a know issue from the beginning of our communication. In all reality, he didn't want to sell me the vehicle because I asked for a lower price. This place I do not recommend to anyone and will not be dealing with them.

Bought A New Civic, Very Pleasant Experience! A++ - DMCivicBuyer
I've read a bunch of reviews here and on other sites and I gotta tell you....don't go to any dealership unprepared. They are in business to make a profit, as they should. Almost every comment I've read about how somebody got "ripped off" could have been prevented if the person had done some homework. To that end, I did my research and knew exactly what I wanted. Steve Bramlett and Brandon Burke were my initial email and phone contacts. I also called and emailed several dealers in the Houston area and no one would do what Clear Lake Honda did. Brandon in particular busted his butt to get my wife and I exactly what we wanted, and at a more than fair price. And since we paid cash, Angel in Finance spent a total of 10 minutes with us filling out title paperwork and taking our cashier's check. That's it. No hard sell, no pressure. We also met briefly with Bennet, I believe a GM. I have never been treated with more respect and transparency than at this dealership, I highly recommend them.

I had a pretty nasty experience when I took my truck for a 100k service. I have taken my truck here for oil change and the estimate given by the service advisor was around $1100. Day before the appointment I called the same advisor and was told
That it would be another $300 in addition to the package that was recommended for the 100k service. I agreed despite these cheap tactics. I got the 100 k service done and the next day the truck would not start.
I had it towed to the dealer. I was told that the battery connection was corroded and a new battery was needed. I do not know what they did but my battery which was ok till they did my 100k service was now dead and the cable was corroded. The estimate was another $650. Again I had no choice as the truck would have to be towed elsewhere and I am sure they knew I was captive audience. So now the total was around $2100. I got the truck home and the radio codes had not been reset when they installed the battery - how sloppy can a dealer be. So I called the service guys to get them reset.
My take - be careful as they use cheap tactics to get you in and then nickel and dime you. This is the last time I am going to these guys. I am assuming the service guys are put under pressure to jack up repairs and estimates. Unfortunately this is an unregulated industry and we should use these review to weed out the unethical ones.

If you're looking to be taken advantage of, misled and throw money away then Katy Honda is for you. In 2015 I had the displeasure of purchasing a vehicle from Katy Honda. It was my first time buying a car, I had just moved away from my family and was 22 years old. The number they gave me for my trade was 3k less then I had just received from another dealer down the road. When I told them this they quickly backtracked and raised their offer. I should have walked away at this point. The number we verbally negotiated was NOT what was put on the contract (granted I'm at fault for my own naivety and inexperience for not having a closer look), TJ "helped" me with the finance side. He quickly whipped through the contract, explaining very little and convinced me he was giving me a great deal on extra protection for the vehicle that would only cost "dollars a month." It turns out it was hundreds of dollars and was NOT protection I would have opted for should it have been appropriately explained. Furthermore, I tried to utilize the exterior protection plan for repairs when my vehicle was scratched a month later and was told my claim was submitted repeatedly over a period of weeks and that they were waiting to hear back from the third party company. I finally called the company myself and was told a claim for my vehicle was never submitted from Katy Honda. Meanwhile, the protection plan was continuing to rack up a hefty bill. I cancelled these Extra Protection plans but not after being charged hundreds of dollars and jumping through hoops to complete the cancellation. I also expressed that I would like the tool box from my pickup truck that I traded and was told that an employee already had their eyes on it and so I could not take it. At the time I was overwhelmed enough to not have said anything but I feel this was entirely inappropriate. I also brought the vehicle in for an oil change which resulted in it leaking mass amounts of oil from the filter not being appropriately attached. I then had to pay for ANOTHER oil change a week later and luckily my car wasn't damged. I had considered seeking retribution from Katy Honda but was too upset from these experiences and wanted to put it past me. Clearly it stuck with me though as I now write this review years later. If at least one person can be saved from the horrendous conduct of this car dealer it is worth having written. Oh, I was also sent home without a spare key for the new car and was texted by the salesman a week later saying he forgot and I could come pick it up.
