There are so many things I HATE about buying a car: bait and switch, pushy salespeople, sketchy gimmicks, unending sales calls, spam, greedy dealers; it's sickening. I dreaded the process.

Got an appointment to come in and was very hesitant as I am not very savvy with cars. Came in and was served by Brandon Nguyen. He put me at ease and explained the processes. Came walking out of that dealership so disappointed and upset! Just the way this guy talkes to people! Make you feel so down graded! After suffering two ordeals at two different Honda dealers, I decided to give El Monte Honda a try.
I arrived at the dealership’s service center a few minutes before it’s 7:00 a.m. opening time.
There were a several customers ahead of me, but once the spacious arrival area was opened up- the customers were promptly greeted and we were questioned about our reasons for being there.
A few minutes later I was greeted by Service Advisor, Ken Okimoto.
I was processed in, and I was given an written estimate for the oil/ filter change, and the tire rotation. I was told that I would be contacted should the mechanic find any additional issue that I might need to be made aware of.
I was also given an estimate for how long it was going to take.
I received a text message advising me that my car was ready. I walked over to Ken O’s office, where I was able to pay, as well as, pick up my car and drive home.
I was surprised that no mention was made about the cabin filter, and the engine air filter-
since the previous dealership recommended that both be changed during both my 30,000 and 40,000 mile service. (were both bad both times?)
I trust that this time, they were both inspected, and that they were found to be acceptable.
This resulted in a savings to me of about $100.00.
I plan to continue having my car serviced at El Monte Honda- I will ask for Ken Okimoto.

I always do my oil change and my car service at their dealership, but most of the time they must mess up something, last time dec12th, i went for an oil change, tire rotation, and inspection, before i go to the dealership everything was fine except that my car needed the new oil, however after they did the oil change, tire rotation and inspection, and once i left they dealership i started to hear chink sounds coming from the back tire, i tried calling them they didnt answer

My vehicle was in this shop numerous times for the same problem. Only when I called American Honda to step in and help do I feel I got results. The second time my vehicle was here I was lied to about the service performed and the resolution. The tech did none of what was written on the final paperwork and the service rep. Christian lied about what the issue was. Horrible service. The third (and hopefully the last) time my vehicle was here I was partnered with Albert, Miguel Cuenca and Scott the new manager. This turned out to be a blessing, between these three gentlemen and American Honda I am hopeful the problem is resolved. And while I give these three men thumbs up for solving the issue it should not have taken 3 visits along with dishonestly. Scott is new and I wish him luck with some of his younger employees who have an honesty issue. But that aside I cannot recommend this place simply because of the experience I had the prior two visits.
