For those who find the purchasing or leasing of a car to be a euphoric experience - your DNA warrants inspection. Mere mortals such as myself, find car acquisition to be as stressful as waiting for one's accountant to determine overdue tax payments. Well, at Park Avenue BMW, my leasing of a BMW was pleasantly stress-free. I attribute the foregoing to having been handled with great patience and without stereotypic "sales pushiness" by Mike Smeraglia, Sales Manager & John Delgado, Sales Consultant. Upon delivery of the car, Heather O'Brien, Finance Delivery Specialist and Steve De Los Angeles, BMW Product Genius, handled me with "Kit Gloves." I believe it is important to note, that I leased one of the most inexpensive BMW vehicles. Notwithstanding, I was treated with dignity and respect from the moment I was greeted at the front door. Those four words in the title are the only ingredients I look for in a car dealership, and BMW of Darien provides them in spades! I am not from Connecticut, so they took detailed pictures of the car I was considering, and went out of their way to make sure that when I arrive after a long trip, my expectations were met with the car I'd hoped for! Above and beyond, and Yussef is one of the few BMW salespeople who knows as much at BMWs as just about anyone (including me).

My experience at BMW of Geenwich was not a great one overall. Everyone was amazing there except for the one person I had to deal with the most. That was the sales person, Alex Shkreli. Basically, he wasted my time and told me lies from the beginning to the end. I also put down a deposit to make it clear I was serious about buying the car. In addition, he lacked any kind of empathy when we were meeting impasses. What made the experience so much better was the sales manager, Dmitry and finance person Rob DeFeo. Dmitry tried to find a solution to the problems and Rob did a great job of service recovery and was very empathetic.

When you think of BMW Manhattan, you expect that exceptional service would be the first phrase that comes to mind. This is the furthest thing from the case. Worse than that, this store is DIRECTLY affiliated with Corporate, and the manufacturer. To say that they don't have their act together, would be understating the matter. I made an appointment on Thursday November 15 to have my vehicle taken in for a diagnostic service. I explained to the rep clearly that I knew the issue, but that Corporate NA required me to get an "official" diagnostic performed, in order to have the vehicle assessed for goodwill assistance, as I was about 5 months out of warranty. The girl clearly stated that it would not be an issue. I woke up at 5 am on Friday to beat the morning traffic, and still ended up driving 2.5 hrs to get to my appointment on time at 8am. My rep was Christian. He promptly asked me if I was aware that Manhattan "Does not do diagnostics on Fridays". The attitude was very rushed, as if they are turning over sales. I was told that they could get to my car by Mon-Tue. I stated that this would be fine, as long as a loaner could be provided. Again, I am being rushed with an answer "Were you not made aware that loaners will not be available for 1-2 weeks?" I asked him to speak to the service manager, who promptly offered the option of dropping me at an Enterprise rental, and pay a discounted rate. I spoke with the service manager, who basically stated that if I knew what was wrong with the vehicle, what was the need for me to be there. I took my vehicle and left. I don't care if my other two BMWs are more expensive than this one, you simply do not act so blatantly indifferent to the miscommunication that you created. I will NEVER bring my business to this dealer again. They absolutely STINK. I found a better dealer on Long Island (omitting the name, so that the post is not considered bias)
