The cream ALWAYS rises to the top!! - charb
I very rarely take the time to write reviews but I felt it very necessary to make the effort in this instance. I was a claimant in the recent Audi diesel scandal and I decided to have Audi buy the car back. I wanted to move into a plug-in to save on fuel costs and all obvious perks and rebates. I chose the Kia Optima with tech package.
My first stop was to Concord Kia where Johnny Rocket was friendly but he tried to really capitalize on my inexperience and took advantage of it by offering me a HORRIBLE lease package and he made out that the car I wanted was the only one available in the area . Since I was so green, I was offered a lease with an UNHEARD of downpayment of $6700 and sizable monthly payment. I should have done better research, so I decided to do a little more digging. I actually bought the car and signed all paperwork BUT I DID NOT TAKE DELIVERY. Since I was approved through Kia Leasing, I decided to check out other dealerships and I started by speaking directly to the finance and sales managers. I posed the same statement to both and that was, "I am already approved through Kia give me your best lease offer right out the gate and I will go with the lowest bid" The first dealership I called was Nicholas Park Kia in San Leandro. I spoke to Nick C and I asked him what his absolute best package was and he BLEW THE OTHER KIA DEALERSHIP out of the water within minutes. I had forewarned him that I am shopping with other dealerships and if they could beat it, I was going to the lower bidder. This young man showed much integrity and he put his money where his mouth is, he cut my downpayment in half AND lowered my payment. He even sent me the proposal which many dealers refuse because they obviously don't want you price shopping. He didn't care he knew no one would beat what he offered.
My final conversation was with the Finance Manager at Stevens Creek, and his name was Mark. Unfortunately, he was the classic stereotypical car salesman. I asked for his best shot and I explained that as a tenured sales professional myself, I do not like to be sold, I just wanted his best offer because he only had the one shot. Once he gave me the "offer", I politely thanked him. He stopped me and asked if we had a deal and I told him no because I had gotten a better proposal elsewhere and OF COURSE he started back pedaling and doing that unnecessary song and dance of how he was gonna put his job on the line, but he would drop lower to meet the price. At the beginning of the conversation he mentioned his general manager was in the room with him, two minutes in he said he had to go ask his GM. It was a ton of game playing that I simply prefer not to deal with. I really wanted to make a relationship with a dealer where I would be comfortable taking my car there for servicing and where I could return and purchase future vehicles. Of the three dealerships, I would go back to Nick and the crew at Nicholas Park Kia every single time. He was honest and played no games, he came out the gate with an offer I couldn't refuse. He was a super straight shooter and I really value that highly. His boss Allen was tough but he is really a softy on the inside. He was really sweet and threw in maintenance too! I wanted to write a comparative review because I felt it would be most helpful. Concord was kind but they really tried to take advantage of me. I should have done better research so I won't fault them for that. Stevens Creek was extremely slimy. After all of Mark's game playing, and after I made it clear that I would not even purchase a Matchbox car from them, they had two new salespeople call me on two seperate occasions and they acted like they had no idea that I had already said no and that I meant it. I don't have time to play games and that's why I chose Nick. I will answer any questions and supply photos of my new automobile if necessary. This review is NOT about sending clients to Nicholas Park this is simply my experience.
Great Experience - Jordy827
I want to thank the Vallejo Kia service center team, my experience there was great. Everyone was very friendly and my oil change and tire rotation didn’t take them long at all. I really appreciate the car wash as well and I will definitely be only returning to the Vallejo Kia anytime I need anything done. Thank you guys again
Super easy with no pressure - Wayland128
Easy going and friendly salesperson (Mo). Not pushy at all. Knowledgeable. The manager Ray we met also was not pushy and was super friendly. Same goes for the finance guy Jason. Overall, I didn't feel like any pressure was applied. They had a nice car on the lot and tried what they could do to help me purchase it.
Enjoyed the experience. - OldSoul
Personable, friendly and we'll informed staff. No pressure sales, just open and interested in trying to match the right car to our lifestyle and budget. From start to finish, our experience was easy and comfortable, and we are happy to be part of the Concord Kia family - Don & Karen Nelson

DONT GO !! Terrible after sales service - Blue
Purchased new 2019 Kia Sorento, car was filthy and not detailed at time of test drive , after purchase they told me they had lust second key and would send me one next day in the mail . That took another week and I had to take to my local dealer to get it programmed. Very very poor , will not be back and would not recommend to anyone ....
Poor communication within service department & unreliable sf - wacr47
Made an appointment 3 business days in advance for routine maintenance and specifically outlined my materials preferences for motor oil. When I arrived for service at appointment time I was advised that technician would not arrive at work until at least 75 minutes later than my appointment time, and that my work would have to wait until he arrived at work. Also I was told that my product preferences were not stocked at the dealership and that it would further delay my work to provide that product.
I bought a used car from B.S. (Sales Consultant) for... - jianyun
I bought a used car from B.S. (Sales Consultant) for >$10,000 and accepted the high loan interest they provided. Car died on the freeway on the same day while I driving back from the dealer. It was very dangerous because the car suddenly died on the freeway, and my pregnant wife was also in the car. I barely managed to pull it over and called AAA for help. The car was towed to an auto repair recommended by AAA. They found that the alternator was dead, and the battery was newly replaced so that the problem of alternator could not be found immediately while I test drived the car (a new battery could sustain for a while even with a bad alternator). The dealer also covered the fact from me that the bumper of the car had been replaced, for reasons unknown. I had to replace the alternator for over $1,000. We went to the dealer for an explanation on Saturday. B.S. and R.S. ( Sales Manager) promised to contact their mechanics and get back to us on Monday. But they did not. When I called R.S. several times on Tuesday, he said he would definitely reply me on Wednesday. But he did not come back at all (nor did he reply my call) within the whole week.
