I set up an appointment with Ben via text, per my request, and I let him know my "on the road" price that I desired. The next day I went to the dealer and in 2 hours I had my new 2018 Altima. No pressure, no gimmicks. Ben got me the price I needed. Mark in finance was fantastic. Didn't try the "hard sell" tactics. Just asked me some basic questions about my usage of the vehicle, and we went from there. I will highly recommend Herb Gordon to anyone I know who is looking for a vehicle. "Don't believe the advertised prices!"
I wanted to buy a car that was advertised for $14,500. They wanted to sell it to me for $16,288. When I asked why they weren't selling for the advertised price I was told it was a mistake and was being corrected. Three days later that same price was still being advertised. When I inquired as to why it had not been fixed I was told "we can't offer the price marketing advertised, it was a mistake". If it was a mistake why was it still being advertised three days later. Get your deal in writing approved by the sales manager and gm before ever walking into this place.

We went out once to look and were free to roam without interference. When we were ready to buy after internet pricing, we headed back. Ben, in internet sales, was expecting us and was ready to help without pressuring us. I hadn't purchased a car in 11 years and was dreading the experience--the whole time-wasting, sometimes disingenuous, back and forth, "let me check with my manager" experience. I was so adamant about avoiding this, that I was considering purchasing a car online and having it delivered to my front door in order to avoid all unnecessary interactions. But since I needed to see and sit inside of a potential new car before buying it, I decided to take one day and visit five dealerships from Baltimore to Silver Spring. Boy am I glad Ben was at work that day. We visited with Ben for probably about 10-15 minutes (as opposed to 1-1.5 hours at other dealerships). He happily provided the information we requested--without any hassle--respected our time by not leaving us sitting at his desk alone for 20 minutes to "talk to the manager," and was upfront, transparent, sincere, friendly, and helpful. This was also the only dealership that wasn't trying to strong-arm me into financing. I have had the car for three days and Ben has already followed up multiple times to see how everything is going. I am honestly truly satisfied with the entire experience and I wish I would have read these comments and reviews before spending a mind-numbing amount of time sitting alone at the desks of sales personnel at other dealerships. Many of them can take a few cues from Ben on how to earn trust by being genuine and straightforward, and to avoid making this already stressful situation unnecessarily more frustrating. Glad I decided to check out Herb Gordon Nissan!
