"Stevinson put unsafe new tires on my CPO Toyota."

Purchased a certified pre-owned 2014 Corolla for my son in July. Car has been great around town. Took it out on the highway a few weeks ago for a longer trip, and the car skates around like it's on ice when you get it up to 75mph. Feels very unstable and unsafe at inter-city highway speeds. Thinking there was an issue with the alignment or something else, I took it back to have Stevinson check it. The service-side of the dealership replicated the issue but says it's the tires, and that it isn't anything they can address. The tires are new tires of a brand called Advanta that I've never heard of - I can find new ones online for under $60, so I can only imagine dealers get them for less than that at wholesale prices. I don't think I've ever paid that low for new tires. I don't feel safe letting my son drive on the highway with these. Toyota doesn't use this brand of tire on their new vehicles. If Stevinson is going to put on new tires to sell cars, they should use at least the same quality as the originals, not these cheap unsafe pieces of garbage!

Sorry - I don't have the time to come back and have your technicians look at this again. When your service dept looked at the car a technician drove it -- for less than two minutes -- before calling to tell me he couldn't find the issue. I pointed out that (because of a device in my car) I could see that the car had only been around the block, not up to highway speed. After that, they did take it out on I-70 and were able to replicate the issue. I don't have an issue with your technicians. They confirmed that the tires you (Anthony) put on the car were the problem. What I found shady was that they told me that because the tires were purchased and installed by the SALES department, the SERVICE department couldn't do anything. Pretending you're two different entities and not one company called Stevinson Toyota left me with a really bad taste in my mouth. I don't have time to play games with different departments of the same company pointing at each other while I have an issue that could result in an accident for my son. You're either a company that stands behind your products ... or not. At this point I have replaced the tires with Michelin Defenders -- a solid tire that has good reviews from a manufacturer I've heard of. However, you have lost the ability to ever have me as a customer again. When the next of my four vehicles needs replacing your dealership will not be visited -- even if I'm interested in a Toyota. Sorry, but I don't have the time for practices that maximize profits for your dealership at the expense of safety for my family.
