My name is Carl Helm. I was born in Martin Tennessee and moved to south Alabama when I was a very young. I started my career directly after school when I was 20 years old. I worked for the local Toyota Dealership in Daphne Alabama for 13 years. I was a saleperson for 7 of those years before I worked my way into management. After a couple years as a sales manager, I worked my way up to General Sales Manager and have been at that position ever since. Most of my success has came from teaching the sales staff to "Make Friends, Not Customers. Its been the dealers motto ever since I came into management. I moved back to Tennessee in 2019 to continue growing on my career. I started here at Hyundai of Cool Springs and have put together an amazing team here at the dealership. I have bought 5 Hyundais since 2018, 4 from this dealer. Recently, the motor on my Santa Fe, failed unexpectedly. I take care of my cars with regular maintenance. The Dealer explained that though there are known issues with this motor, there is no recall and nothing they could do. When I asked Carl (manager) to stand behind the car that they sold me, he said “I don’t make the cars, I just sell them!” I will never buy another Hyundai. I would have thought that the dealer would have worked hard to support a loyal customer! I am wrong- this loyalty was very one sided and unfortunately, I was on the loosing side!!! More

Greeted by a salesman named Joe. He listened to everything I said. Picked out the perfect car for me. He was very pleasant and respectful through my whole experience.
