It's been a year since I purchased my vehicle from this place, and my experience has been far from satisfactory. Initially, upon purchasing a new vehicle, customers are provided with a 30-day temporary reg place, and my experience has been far from satisfactory. Initially, upon purchasing a new vehicle, customers are provided with a 30-day temporary registration. As the expiration of my temporary registration approached, I reached out to my salesperson to inquire about the status of my plates. To my surprise, I was informed that the state was experiencing delays, and it was acceptable to continue driving beyond the 30-day period. However, sensing something amiss, I decided to verify this information with the DMV. Contrary to what I was told, the DMV clarified that there were no backlogs, and driving with an expired registration would result in penalties, including fines and potential vehicle towing. Confronting my salesperson with this contradictory information, I was met with excuses shifting the blame onto a third-party company they utilized for plate processing. Despite assurances that they would cover any tickets incurred, I was wary, having already caught them in a falsehood. Consequently, I chose not to drive my vehicle until the plates were finally issued, weeks after the expiration of the temporary registration. Secondly, upon purchasing my vehicle, it lacked car mats. Despite assurances from my salesperson, S. Redway, that they would be promptly mailed, weeks passed with no delivery. Subsequent follow-ups yielded promises of imminent shipping or excuses of back orders. When my salesperson ceased communication, I attempted to contact the Sales Manager to no avail. Multiple calls went unanswered, prompting me to escalate to the General Manager with no success. Resorting to leaving a negative review finally prompted a response from Lianne Dunne, purportedly the Customer Relations Manager, who offered to send the mats if I removed the review first. Refusing, I insisted on receiving the mats prior to removal, causing the excuse of backorders to resurface. Eight months later, I'm still without resolution. This experience isn't unique; a cursory look at their dealerrater reviews reveals a pattern. Check it out for yourself. While I anticipate the standard apology and invitation to rectify, it feels disingenuous. They have my contact information and could resolve the issue if they truly cared. Simply send the mats, and I'll move on! More
I had a very regrettable experience purchasing my vehicle here. They have zero interest in following through on their commitments once you sign on the dotted line. The crazy thing is it was such a small thin here. They have zero interest in following through on their commitments once you sign on the dotted line. The crazy thing is it was such a small thing but instead of just giving me what was owed to me they resorted to manipulation and ultimately just ignoring me. Don’t let the inevitable xx response that they will post as a reply to this review as them trying to make things right. It’s not. You’ll call and get transferred to a phone line that will ring for what seems like days until you just give up. I think their hope is just to wear you down. I am sure that strategy works n some people. Here comes that xx response I mentioned……… More
I stopped in last week on my way home from work. I am in the market to get a new car and I am strongly considering a Hyundai. When I walked in I was approached by a sales person. I had a few questio I am in the market to get a new car and I am strongly considering a Hyundai. When I walked in I was approached by a sales person. I had a few questions as a first time Hyundai buyer. The sales person seemed to get more annoyed with every question I had. I started to feel uncomfortable so I decided that it was best to just leave and try coming back another time and hopefully get a new sales person to approach me. When I got home I was still a little bothered by the treatment I got at Atlantic Hyundai so I decided to look at their reviews (and the other dealerships in the area) to see if this experience was common or just a one off. Some of these reviews are alarming. I’m kind of grateful my first encounter ended the way it did. I wish them luck and hope they turn this around but I will be taking my business elsewhere as it seems too risky to go here as I can’t unsee some of these reviews. Good luck and do better. More
Their treatment of customers after purchase is abhorrent. There is no follow through of promises made. Still waiting for stuff that was promised to me and it’s been almost a year now! Stay far away from this dealership they are liars. I bought a Hyundai Tucson with 11,000 miles on it. I brought it in because the brake rotors were warped on warranty. All they would do was cut the rotors not even change the pads rotors. Nothing they cut the rotors for me. I drove it out of the dealership halfway home the car was still vibrating I called and they said that’s the best they can do for me took it to a real shop front rotors and pads needed to be changed the rear rotors Were still OK he said but they shouldn’t have cut them. They should’ve changed them. That’s an honest place and it cost me out of my pocket almost $400 which Hyundai should paying me back for. Also, there’s a technical service bulletin known as a TSB on these vehicles where your radar cameras come on, and they say they’re blocked this dealership tried to tell me my bumpers were changed because of an accident, which is totally false the bumper had a scratch and was repainted a scratch, and was never changed or removed from the vehicle which it should’ve been Painted properly but it was not removed. They wouldn’t fix it. They said it’s no longer under warranty. Well that’s funny because another Hyundai dealer told me to bring it in and they will take care of it for me. That’s the dealership I’ll be dealing with out, and Selden. This place has a reputation of ripping people off as well stay far away from this awful place , anything to do with the first name Atlantic run for your life More
We live locally and have been entertaining the thought of buying a vehicle for our expanding family. The Hyundai was not really in consideration but since we are local we decided to stop at dealership and buying a vehicle for our expanding family. The Hyundai was not really in consideration but since we are local we decided to stop at dealership and check out the vehicle lineup. Upon entering dealership we were greeted by Iris, who was incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable about her products. I am in sales, so I am turned off by pushy sales tactics which was not the case here. The experience was very informative and now the Palisade is at the top of our list thanks to her guidance. We look forward to working with Atlantic once our vehicle color and trim comes in. More
