After doing research on the internet, I knew I wanted to buy a Nissan Rogue. A friend told me to try Jenkins Nissan. I did and I was not disappointed. Came there tonight to try to purchase my first car. As a first time car buyer, there are some things I didn’t understand & involved my family in helping me out. Had a great conversation with Damian, who w first time car buyer, there are some things I didn’t understand & involved my family in helping me out. Had a great conversation with Damian, who was very sweet and professional. Thought we came to an agreement about price & decide to continue with the sale. Due to my own misunderstanding, I was not able to go through with the sale. Nothing was his fault, & he was very kind and understanding and did everything he could for me. My issue is with Jayson. from the moment I walked in he had an attitude, mentioning to me that the place closed in 10 minutes as if I was inconveniencing him for still being there. Because of the misunderstanding about pricing, I had to call my mom who was admittedly a bit annoyed with the situation, and they ended up having a yelling match on speakerphone. I mentioned to him (very gently) that he was little aggressive and his response was “well she yelled at me,” however he was the one who raised a tone first. As someone who works with customers as well, this is not how you handle such a situation. I myself have severe anxiety, and the pressure of this, plus Jayson‘s attitude and the situation caused me to have a bad panic attack, to the point where I was crying in his office. I even apologized and let him know that I was having a panic attack it was still trying to figure everything out, and he offered me no apology, no kind words, not even a tissue!! Instead he said “there’s no reason to be upset” flippantly & proceeded to talk to me about car stuff. Didn’t even give me a second to calm down! Mind you, The entire time I was telling him that I was sorry, and that I appreciated him trying to get me into a car. I was never the one being rude to him, and was obviously stressed and crying—but he still gave ME such an attitude! Jayson left the room & I ended up telling Damian that I’d had enough and needed to go. I was literally incoherently crying at this point, but even still I sincerely apologize for wasting his time and thanked him for trying to help me out. I’ve always heard bad things about finance people at car dealerships, but Jayson had NO compassion and made what would’ve been my first car experience a literal nightmare. If you’re gonna be working with people, you should learn to have a heart. I’m clearly still young and was trying my best to keep my composure. More
