I went to this dealership to get my second key made for my Toyota. They scheduled me an appointment to come by to have the new key programmed for my car 2 weeks after coming by to order the key. They committed fraud on my warranty, I was pressing charges, but then they immediately refunded the warranty back to me. By far the worst car dealership in the Midwest. charges, but then they immediately refunded the warranty back to me. By far the worst car dealership in the Midwest. More
They are nice at the initial buy but have been the worst since the sale. They don’t even honor their agreements when it comes to service and will charge you for regular maintenance items you are told would since the sale. Will go to a different dealership in the future when ready to buy another car More
This used to be a great dealership. And their customer service was second to none. That bought a lot of loyalty from me over the years. They have managed to destroy that loyalty. And their customer service was second to none. That bought a lot of loyalty from me over the years. They have managed to destroy that loyalty. Not only will I never again spend another penny at that dealership, but I’ve bought the last Toyota I will ever buy. Toyota will never get another cent from me. I brought the car in and let them know that a known issue with the 2014 and 2015 models—one that can be verified with a simple Internet search—had affected my Rav4. Their response was, more or less, that’s a shame—we’ll fix it for $1500. No offer of a compromise. I’m just out of luck. On a problem there is a Toyota white paper on. One that is inexcusable, and should have led to a company-wide recall. Talking to the dealership’s GM didn’t help. I’m going to need to buy a new car next year. I’m sure that, Honda, Ford, Chevrolet or Subaru will be happy to sell me one. I am done with this dealership and with Toyota. More
Appointment times must mean nothing to them. I had an appointment time of 7:30 and was there in line waiting for them to open the doors. They checked me in and quoted me about 2 hours to service I had an appointment time of 7:30 and was there in line waiting for them to open the doors. They checked me in and quoted me about 2 hours to service my car. My wife was at the Honda dealer getting and oil change. She picked me up when she got finished so I gave the service department my cell phone number while we went and ate breakfast. I hadn’t heard from new bold so we went to the mall and walked around there. I finally called around noon and they told me it wasn’t ready yet. So we went to Menards. Leaving there we thought we’ll just check in and see what’s going on by this time it’s 1:20. Wife says there’s our car parked in the service lot. We go inside where the service man says we haven’t gotten to your car yet. This is where my wife got mad. She told the man we had an appointment for 7:30 made weeks ago this wasn’t some kind of can you fit me in. The service man pulled it in and had the inspection and service completed in 30 minutes. Then says I’ll take some off for the miscommunication. There was no miscommunication it was total BS. They took the pathetic 10% off. I wouldn’t of cared if he paid the total bill himself. It was uncalled for to wait almost 6 hours on a scheduled appointment time. It’s not like I lived 10 minutes away I drove over an hour, and I know they know this it’s in my file. I will NEVER deal with newbold and i will tell my story to anyone who ask. Not cool newbold not cool. More

We asked to see the shuttle van to test drive before putting our deposit down and he held it for us so we could take it for a spin - we had a price in mind for our trade and he made it happen! He's super friendly - doesn't mess around with unnecessary jargon, isn't pushy, & is completely happy with texting for quick communication back and forth. I told him we were on a crunch when it came down to getting the paperwork done and that's what happened. It really makes the process less stressful and more enjoyable. Thanks Josh! We'll see you soon! :-) More
I'm from Decatur. Before I tried inquiring in Newbold, I tried every dealerships around me from Subaru, Hyundai, Honda toToyota., Decatur, Champaign, Chicago, Indianap Before I tried inquiring in Newbold, I tried every dealerships around me from Subaru, Hyundai, Honda toToyota., Decatur, Champaign, Chicago, Indianapolis, Springfield, etc. even St Louis, MO. Honestly, I was not expecting much about Newbold but when I made the query online about this specific vehicle, Josh left me a message. We communicated through text. I've seen lots of videos about buying cars and how salespersons and finance managers are your enemies, they will pretend to be your friend but will betray you in the end, etc. When I talked to Josh, he seemed nice. I asked questions, he answered, no bs. That was easy. I thought to my self, Is there something wrong with this guy? He doesn't seem to be the same people being described in the youtube videos. We will see in person, I'm sure he will try to milk some cash on us. I made a reservation and the day came. When we arrived, the building is nice. People are very welcoming and accommodating. We looked for Josh but he was still talking to other clients, after few minutes he came to us, asked how are we doing, how are we gonna pay etc. We told him and okay, he let us signed the paper with the agreed price of the vehicle, he did what he had to do, and that was it. That really was easy. He was nice, accommodating, respectful, and really no bs. that's it. No forcing of anything. Then we went to the finance office, same happened with the finance officer, Robert. He was nice, welcoming, every one was nice there. He offered a service, we declined because of budget, he gave a huge discount, we declined, and okay. that's it. Congrats to our new car!. Though we regretted not getting one of the service offered but anyway, everything went great. Fast and easy. Let me tell you, I inquired to lots of dealerships, some of the videos that say they are bad, applies to some of them but not one bit applies to Josh, Robert and other staff. That was the best experience we had. I would really recommend Newbold Toyota! More
