Castle Subabru sold me an unsafe 2013 Honda Pilot Although I was only allowed to select one complaint type, my complaint also encompasses poor Customer Sales/Service. I was sold an unsafe 2013 Honda P Although I was only allowed to select one complaint type, my complaint also encompasses poor Customer Sales/Service. I was sold an unsafe 2013 Honda Pilot from Tony Alvarez; Sales Consultant at Castle Subaru Mitsubishi in Portage, Indiana on 12.22.2018 After driving the car one week the indicator for required maintenance displayed on the dashboard of the 2013 Honda Pilot. On Monday 12.31.2018 I took the 2013 Honda Pilot to Honda of Joliet to find out what was causing the poor handling and slow braking issues while driving. Upon my arrival I requested for them to inspect the car for the issues I was experiencing while driving, I explained that the car was not driving/handling the road well. I told them that I just purchased the vehicle and that there were service indicator lights displayed on the dashboard and that I wanted them to check that out as well. After a reasonably quick inspection the Service Advisor summoned me to the work area where my vehicle was being inspected, he had the Service Technician show me the damage that was causing the poor driving/handling. He told me that some of the damage/repairs would be covered under Honda warranty and some of the damage would not. He showed me where someone used a hammer of some sort and damaged the Front Right Axle Shaft. The Right Axle was leaking and needed to be replaced and repaired and would not be covered under warranty. The front and rear brakes were low however the rear brakes were in much worse condition than the front brakes, also not covered. He also found the Compliance Bushing on the driverside was leaking profusely, which also needed to be replaced and repaired. After giving me a full detailed description of all the work needed I agreed to have the repairs done. The parts would need to be ordered and instead of me continuing to drive an unsafe vehicle, the Service Technician suggested that the Service Advisor set me up with a loaner vehicle. My vehicle was repaired and I picked it up on Friday 1.4.2019 costing me $878.29 Today, 01.08.2019 after dropping my children at school in Highland, IN the indicator for service engine light displayed on the dashboard. I prayed that the car would make the distance from Indiana to the dealership in Joliet, IL I am waiting to see what the Service Technician at the dealership will report back to me with the other issues this car has and will need repaired that wont be covered under a factory warranty. This dealership knowingly sold me an unsafe vehicle. I have made attempts to reach both the salesman as well as the general manger via phone calls, text msgs and email with out any success. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and intend to pursue this further. More

These guys provided A1 customer service. And... I can not leave out DAVE EISEN. During my experience, there was a hiccup and Dave Eisen stepped in and saved the day and the deal! These 3 men treated me like a person and not a number. If you want personable service and a good vehicle purchasing experience, ask for Andrew, Sean and Dave! More

Vehicle Misrepresented and Driven AFTER my purchase I am so disappointed in my purchase from Castle. I purchased a vehicle through USAA's online car buying program. Due to being in a different state, I am so disappointed in my purchase from Castle. I purchased a vehicle through USAA's online car buying program. Due to being in a different state, and spending time trying to arrange a transport, it took me about a month to actually get my car. When I picked up the vehicle it had 300 more miles on it than it did from the date I purchased it. Clearly someone was driving it AFTER my purchase was complete. Also, there were features advertised that it actually doesn't have which is very frustrating. Also, the vehicle was not detailed or cleaned at all before handing it over to me. I thought that was standard. Instead, there's evidence of spilled soda or coffee on the console and drivers door. It smells like a cat litter box. It's just overall very gross. When I went back to the dealership the next day, I was met by a salesman with a very nonchalant attitude about everything. He "took it back" to detail it and came back 10 mins later. Obviously that's not long enough to detail a SUV. And his solution for the stinch? He sprayed a ton of apple cinnamon Glade bathroom spray in it, leaving me nauseous and with a headache. I sat outside with the windows down for 20 mins trying to air it out. When I asked about the added miles, he got defensive and told me it just sat on the lot the whole time. I have reported this situation to USAA and would appreciate some resolution from the dealership. But apparently the dealer's GM is on vacation this week. More

Also he bumped my vehicle cost by $2k from the online price! Not right! Then to add insult to injury I asked if he could fit my budget and he said that was the lowest he could go! Then I had him assure me I receive lifetime tires and oil changes free of charge which was a lie! More

Within 15 minutes, he received a phone call and scheduled an appointment to come in and test drive that vehicle the following Monday. Upon arriving, Brent met and greeted us at the front door. He was extremely friendly and very thorough. Castle had the vehicle we were wanting to look at already pulled up and waiting for us. Even though we were there for a few hours working numbers, Brent never gave up and was able to get us into the car that we really wanted. They have gained two forever customers. More
