Very pleasant employees I have now bought 3 cars from Gates. The employees are always very pleasant. I would recommend more of an initial outreach to repeat customers to reward their loyalty and encourage them to make their next purchase there, as well. I wasn't offered any sort of reduction, or increase benefit, and when I mentioned my disappointment, I was asked if I had asked for any. If my continued patronage is valued, I shouldn't have to ask, it should be offered. For me, the monthly payments, and not the total price tag, were my main concern, and I made it clear that I was looking to keep the payments around $150. When the financing came in at the top of the forecast range, no effort was made to lower it, until I expressed my dissatisfaction. Ultimately, the amount offered for my trade was increased, and the price lowered, for a combined $500, which was appreciated, but I would have felt more valued as a customer if I hadn't had to haggle for it. I don't pick up the car until Tuesday, so I can't yet express an opinion on the car, but I am optimistic, and believe that I will come to Gates for my next car, as much for the employees, as anything else. I also think a more realistic estimate of times, when getting a customer to come in to fill out paperwork, would be an improvement. Much like when I closed on my Wife's Kia, I was asked to come in for about 1/2 an hour, to complete paperwork, and it ended up taking about 1-1/2 hours. I expected it, this time, but I still found it annoying. Like everyone, my time is valuable, and I would feel that the dealership felt the same if they gave me an honest expectation of how long it will take to get things done. These are meant to be suggestions to improve the next customer's experience, more than a complaint. Ultimately, I ended up buying a car for more than I wanted to spend, with features I didn't want, and I hope that I get as much out of it as I did my last car. If I do, I will be back for my next car, I am sure. More

Amazing staff!! I was in an expensive lease and needed to get out of it. After going to a few dealers I thought I was going to be stuck with it. Excellent experience I had walked in with intentions of just “taking a peak” at a newer car. It was definitely time for an upgrade as mine was pretty much falling apart. I I had walked in with intentions of just “taking a peak” at a newer car. It was definitely time for an upgrade as mine was pretty much falling apart. I was a bit intimidated when I walked In but immediately was greeted by one of the salesmen, Matt Milici. He was very kind and was willing to try his best as I poorly described what I was looking for. After him running some numbers, he quickly got me test driving two different cars (both of which I loved.) I was a bit hesitant when we started talking about buying one of them. While furthering the conversation, he made me feel very comfortable with the finance plan and that next day I was driving home my beautiful new car. I would definitely recommend everyone to go to Matt, as he was a pleasure to work with! More

Great customer Service We went into Columbia Ford looking at trucks. We weren't really sure about getting approved. The truck we first test drove we liked however we couldn' We went into Columbia Ford looking at trucks. We weren't really sure about getting approved. The truck we first test drove we liked however we couldn't get approved for that one. They found us an older model and when we went to look at it we absolutely loved it, much better than the original one we looked at. We dealt with Jim in the beginning but were referred by a friend of ours to Tim. Tim was up front and honest with us and wasn't a shady salesman as we have experienced from a previous car buying experience. Eric also worked with us in getting the approval and keeping in contact with us so we weren't left hanging and wondering what was going on. Thank you to Jake, Tim, Eric, and Jim for your outstanding customer service. We will definitely recommend your dealership to our friends and family. More
