From the time we walked down their sales isle at Virginia Beach Convention Center RV show, they have been nothing short of exceptional. We felt like we were talking to a long lost friend. Mike McNeil took the time to go over all the administrative details, never rushing us but rather giving us his undivided attention to be sure all our questions were answered. Jamie Dodd reviewed all the financing detail with us. He showed us every option available for purchase and gave us a wealth of knowledge about products and services that could both enhance our camping experience and protect our investment. The family name Dodd carries with it a great reputation in our community, and Jamie continues to be a credit to that name. Dennis Levick demonstrated the operation of our new RV top to bottom to be sure we understood the operational and safety process for all the major systems in the RV. We did run in to an operator error issue and had to call the service department for HELP!. Joey Lawrence came to the rescue on the phone and latter in the service department. He showed a level of professionalism rarely seen in business today. We were in a panic but he remained calm and talked us through the problem, brining it to a happy resolution. When we did make a service appointment for the operator error, Pete Foertsch was waiting for our arrival and went straight to work to iron out our problem. He evaluated every aspect of the problem and was not only able to correct the issue but his attention to detail improved the overall towing performance of the trailer. From the receptionist Debra who shared her homemade brownies to Mary the parts department guru, everyone made us feel welcomed and valued. We recognize and trust the brands they sell, but more importantly we embrace the way they do business, treating each customer as a part of the Dodd family. We have been looking at travel trailers for over a year, and frequented several dealer in the State of Virginia. We found Dodd RV and met Greg, a courteous, low pressure, customer focused salesman. Greg asked us what we were looking for and a price point. After some discussion, he took us around the lot and showed us only what we were interested in. There was no,"I know this is what you said, but you need to see this" type of sales push. We were encouraged to look at each of them closely and more than once to be sure that construction, features and style were what we wanted. After we found the Travel Trailer that we determined met our style and needs, Greg took us to see Mike, and told him exactly what we had talked about. Mike sat down with us and went over price and financing options. We sealed the deal and are now the pound owners of a new A Prime Time Avenger 32fRES TT. A week later on a rainy Saturday, we arrived at the dealership to pick up the unit; Jamie had all the paper work ready to sign and made the process efficient and painless. Amanda gave us a great tour of the parts dept explaining what we would need and how Dodd RV wiould help us. After that we were brought out to the service area for our orientation. They moved our TT inside due to the weather. Ricky was ready for us and took us us through the trailer from hitch to bumper. He explained everything in great detail and answered all of our questions; my wife and I are very detail oriented were very surprised at the thoroughness of the orientation and level of service that Dodd and their stellar staff gave us from front to back. It was extremely pleasurable to deal with such a low pressure, family oriented group of professionals. More

We purchased a beautiful 2011 Keystone Passport 245RB from Dodd RV today. We had a very positive experience with all of their staff -- sales, administrative, parts, and service. Everyone was so friendly and anxious to be sure that we were satisfied not just with our "new" camper, but especially with their personal service. Our only "tense" moments were in sealing the final deal, and we were very satisfied with the outcome on that too! No haggling pricing the trailer and was very fair on price - These guys put the customers buying needs in front of profit by not over out fitting the unit to the customers needs.My sale associate Greg, price - These guys put the customers buying needs in front of profit by not over out fitting the unit to the customers needs.My sale associate Greg, listened to what i was looking far and stayed with-in those guide lines. After we had selected a unit that fit my needs and price range he introduced me to Mike the sales manager and conveyed almost word for word what he and i had discussed. Mike made me a counter offer that was very reasonable for the trailer. The lady in titling and sales paper work was SUPPER also. The service department had detailed the trailer so good that i had to ask if it was my trailer. It looked as they had checked EVERY screw on it and the detailing was superb. We had shopped for six weeks at many RV dealers and none of them could compare to Dodd RV wanting to make our buying experience a TOTALLY satisfying one. More

I was just killing some time and stopped at Dodd R.V. I spoke with Greg because our normal sales person Scott was in Richmond. Greg showed the Crusader and it matched our requirements perfectly. Greg knew the answers to all of my questions from weight to the new features like auto leveling, tank drain handles, and new axles. Scott came in the next day and just about finished the deal. We needed the camper in five days and he made it happen. No high pressure salesmanship, just straight talk. Mary and Pete were very knowledgeable and got us on our way. We are always made to feel like part of the Dodd family when dealing with Scott. We feel like the only customer he is dealing with because of his extremely prompt return of our calls and how quickly he makes things happen. Everyone at Dodd is friendly and customer oriented. Greg took the time over the phone to answer questions & was flexible with a meeting time to look at RVs. When meeting with Gregg he did not push us into purchasing or try to sway our decision in any way & was flexible with a meeting time to look at RVs. He and Jamie both stay after hours to complete our purchase without rushing us or making us feel as though we were inconveniencing them. Jamie took the time and had everything in place and explained the many different "extras" to purchase for care of the RV but did not push us into purchasing anything of those extras ... allowing us to make the decision ourselves on what "extras" we felt were important or necessary to our needs. We highly recommend Dodd RV to anyone in the market for an RV. More

Everyone was friendly but felt that the fact that Dodds is a family run business was way overstated. After shopping for a new RV I learned that all the dealers offered the same extra's such propane tank an is a family run business was way overstated. Our salesman was a new employee at Dodds, no problem, we are new at same point or another but ditching other dealers on information that he does not know was a little irritating. I prefer to buy local and from family own businesses. Dodds did provide personal service and listened to our concerns. Yes I would recommend Dodds to family and friends. More
