On August 3rd I met with Gregory and he tried to sell me a Nissan Altima. Eventually he showed me a 2020 Honda Civic with roughly 30k miles on it. He told me the price would be close to $22,000. He then int a Nissan Altima. Eventually he showed me a 2020 Honda Civic with roughly 30k miles on it. He told me the price would be close to $22,000. He then introduced me to Angelo. Angelo got on his computer and showed me that I was approved by Exeter bank for the car to be financed. Angelo walked me through the paperwork and highlighted and pointed to the numbers and explained to me that a larger down payment would benefit me because it would lower monthly payments. We agreed that i would put a down payment of $8000 and they took the payment that day. It took more than a month for me to receive my license plates, and I had to drive and park with my temporary plates expired. I explained that I would be moving to Connecticut and would need to change my plates and change my insurance. Now a month and a half later I still haven't received my title. Exeter bank is also saying they never received a down payment. This is causing me to pay more money to my car insurance because I cannot properly transfer my registration to Connecticut despite me living here for over a month. The worst part about all of this is that even though I paid $8000, Exeter is still saying the loan I was financed for is over $23,000. This is disturbing because Angelo explained to me that the $8000 would be applied and my total loan would be lowered. HOW DID I STILL END UP FINANCING $23,000+ IF I PUT DOWN $8000?? Angelo tricked me and filed paperwork that totals up to much more than they told me they were selling me the car for. The car is not worth $31,000 and never did I imagine thats what I would be paying. When I spoke with Angelo he presented an itemized list that I never saw nor signed. It does not look like my signature on that page I had a signature expert look at it and they agree that it looks forged. He showed me a paper I never saw and even that paper had the wrong numbers and totals. He claims Exeter is responsible for the missing funds but it doesn't make sense that his itemized list does not tally up to all the money that is missing. These people are scam artists everything goes through Angelo the rest of the workers were standing around watching closely. All the the other customers were waiting to meet with Angelo not knowing he was waiting to scam them too. BE VERY CAFEFUL with these people Angelo is a professional scam artist.
