I had a very good experience buying a car here. Took it here for the first dealer service. My interaction for a ride really left a bad taste in my mouth. When I got there, I said I will need a ride. Service advisor said no problem, we will have you taken care of. After I finished with the advisor, paper work and all that, I said I need a ride and was told to go to the cash dept to ask for a ride. I went there, there were about 5 people behind desk, who all ignored me. I wrote my name down on a list. Still no attention so I asked if anyone can help with a ride. There were two ladies chatting away, they looked at me and said just write your name down. I said, I already did, when will I get a ride? One of the ladies said anywhere from 30-90 minutes. I said, I have to be somewhere in 45 minutes. She said sorry, the driver is not here. I asked when did the leave? I don't know. When will the driver be back? I don't know, all the time with a sign of irritation that I was interrupting. So, in this day of connectivity, they have no idea where the driver is, when he left, where all he left to drop people off, when he is likely to come back. Moreover it was the attitude of 'we don't care' that got to me. I would call this a bad planning, bad management, bad attitude. If I was the manager, I would get the driver to leave a note on when he is leaving, is likely to be back and what all towns he left for. Give the driver a trackable cellphone so that the counter folks can see where he is on his trip. Toyota service used to be not like this. I am rating all the people as 5* because I do not want to name names. The whole department from my service advisor to the cashier department was bad. More

I had a bad experience. Initially I was told that my tires were fine but my maintenance person later told me they needed to be replaced. This further led to disbelief at my final bill especially when it tires were fine but my maintenance person later told me they needed to be replaced. This further led to disbelief at my final bill especially when it came out so high. I had to tell my service rep that something didn't look right and they had made some mistakes on the final bill and it still came out higher than I was expecting. Furthermore, I didn’t realize getting a loaner car would make me ineligible for getting the coupon discounted maintenance. Finally, every other time I've been here, my service rep walked me through my options and when it was all done they'd walk me through what was done and how much it costed. This time my rep made no such effort making me feel rushed and like I may be getting screwed paying for extra crap I didn't really need (see my tires comment above). I will think twice before returning for maintenance. More

Avoid Sunnyvale Toyota unless you want to be told your car needs unnecessary services. It happens to me every time I bring my car in for service, even an oil change. If I ask for a copy of the recommendat car needs unnecessary services. It happens to me every time I bring my car in for service, even an oil change. If I ask for a copy of the recommendations, I'm told I can't have one. This business exploits customers. I will never bring my car here again. More

Ivonne Nesme is the worst service provider ever!I got a Ivonne Nesme is the worst service provider ever! I got a letter from Toyota, Sunnyvale on October 18, 2019 which says Important safety recall. I to Ivonne Nesme is the worst service provider ever! I got a letter from Toyota, Sunnyvale on October 18, 2019 which says Important safety recall. I took my car there yesterday ( November 25, 2019 ) i met this gentlemen at the counter, gave the letter to him. He very nicely explained me the reason of the recall. Which was the failure of day time running lights. I was in rush and asked him how long will it take to fix the defect. I could not wait for more then two hours. He being honest asked me if i can pick my car tomorrow? I said ok but around what time? He said he will try to push it and try to finish it with in today around 6:30pm and if it gets done he will give me a call or else it should be done by tomorrow around 10 - 11:00am. Then i went to ask for the shuttle service as it explained in the letter that i will get a complimentary shuttle service within 10 miles. When i get to the counter the person says that shuttle just left and it will be here in 45 minutes which is at 3:30pm. I did not want to wait for that long and decided to take uber. I came out of the waiting area and say these beautiful trucks on my left. I went to have a look. I liked these new trucks and Sequoia at the front. But what catches my eye was the silver colored Highlander limited at the back. I kept comparing the prices and features with other cars for like 45 minutes and get back to the same counter for shuttle. They told me that shuttle service is closed and the driver gets back home. I finally took uber back home. The receipt i got from the gentle man says that my service advisor is Ishoo Bayatay, Millis. I am not sure if this is the person i met at the counter. As i was told that it should be done either at 6:30pm today or by 11:00pm. I waited for a call but did not get any call from anyone. The next day i called Toyota, Sunnyvale at 11:16am to check if my car is ready for pick up or not. Kiki answered the call and transferred my call to Tanya. Tanya said my car is not yet finished. When i asked how long will it take because i have to go to San Fransisco in the evening. She said it should take around two hours but to give you the exact time she will let me talk to the service provider. She transferred me to my service provider. The call was on hold for long time and got disconnected. After this i called at 2:44pm to check if my car is ready or not. Kiki again answered my called and transferred to the service provider. This time i heard a male voice i explained him everything. He said he will let me talk to my service provider. He transferred my call again and the same thing happens my call was on hold and got disconnected later. This pissed me off. I called again and no body answered. I called another time and the same person answered my call. I asked what is going on why are you not telling me if my car is ready or not? They said that my service provider is Millis and he/she is not at the desk and they left my name and number at his/her desk and i will get a call back. I did not get any call back. I was already pissed and half of my day was already gone. Since i could not talk to my service adviser i decided to go and see my service advisor in person. I reached at Toyota Sunnyvale around time 3:25pm. I met a person at the counter and explained everything. I get to know that Millis is on holiday today. He said please wait another service provider will be with you in a moment. He called my service provider. Here is when i met this RUDE LADY Miss Ivonne Nesme. She was very disrespectful. She showed me the paper with my name and number and asked if this is me. She asked me last name and told me that my car is not ready yet. I asked how long will it take she said till 6:30pm. I get very upset and said i don't want it to be fixed and want my car back. Without even asking anything she said ok she will let the technician stop the work and asked me to go outside and wait for my car. This completely messed up my head. I was like what type of Service is this? I went out and look for my car. I did not want to stay there for even one minute. I waited for few minutes and could not see my car. After some time i saw the technician drove my car out and took it at the area where they fix it. I went there and waited right behind my car. The technician asked me if i need something. i said i am waiting for my car. He said please wait in the waiting area. I was walking out and met Ivonne again. She said there is some miscommunication. She said she talked to my wife who allows her to fix the car. I said i am single! She said she talked to somebody who allows her. She then said she was about to stop the technician but they already started the work. I said its ok. Let him finish it now. Now the thing is i left my car yesterday but the work just go started? I did not understand this but still was ok that at least they started the work and was expecting it to be done by 5:00pm. I waited in the auto parts area. I saw Ivonne around 4:55pm and asked any idea how long will it take. She said she don't know. She will ask the technician and let me know. I waited for another 50 minutes and did not get any message from her. I went to her desk. She was again being very disrespectful and looking at her mobile phone only and not paying any attention to what i am saying. I asked how long will it take. She said another 30 minutes which means around 6:15pm. I went to the waiting area and waited for another 20 minutes. I came out to check if my car is there and it was there ready for pick up but nobody informed me. I am waiting there since long time at least inform me that my car is ready. I told the man outside with the computer that its my car. Is it ready? He asked my last name and said yes its ready. Ivonne was just walking around with no responsibility. I asked her since when was my car ready? She casually says 2 minutes. She asked for my signature. I signed and she gave me my copy and rush back inside to his counter without even listening what i was asking. I went inside and asked what has been changed and what was the problem with my car and had so many other questions but she was not willing or interested to answer my questions and telling someone that she has to leave early. I said who will answer all my questions? She rudely pointed at waiting line and told me to wait there until the next person is available. There was nobody else there and i don't want to fool my self by waiting there alone for next 20 minutes before it get closed! This was the worst service ever i have experienced! More

Poor service experience at otherwise decent dealership I've purchased multiple cars and had them serviced at Toyota Sunnyvale for many years. I had a surprisingly bad experience last week with service for my 2009 Matrix. The service advisor asked me if there were any particular concerns, and I said that the car wasn't starting up. She said they'd check into it. When I got the car home $500+ later, the car won't start. I tried calling her multiple times during the following week, and could never get her. I left messages, but she never called me back. I asked the service customer service how to get her to call me back. She suggested I leave a message for her partner as it was her day off. I did so, and the partner never called me back. Finally, about a week later, I reached her. She couldn't explain why she didn't respond to my numerous messages. She looked up my service record, and said that they mechanic couldn't find the source of the problem with the car not starting up. I asked her why she wouldn't have told me that when she went over the other results of the service. Seems like simple good communication to report back on the customer's specific concern with the car. She offered for me to bring the car back in, which is not the most convenient option as I live about 40 minutes away and work fulltime. More

Great experience every time! I have had my 2008 Highlander serviced at Toyota Sunnyvale every time for 11 years. Yvonne always takes good care of me. She reviews service history I have had my 2008 Highlander serviced at Toyota Sunnyvale every time for 11 years. Yvonne always takes good care of me. She reviews service history, shows me the 3 levels of recommended service, and suggests the service level that is best for me (not always the most expensive!). Yvonne is pleasant to deal with, always greets me with a smile, and explains well what was done or additional items they find. I typically come in without an appointment (which is never a problem), and usually wait in the comfortable waiting area and work on their wifi until my vehicle is ready. If the wait is more than a couple hours, Yvonne does her best to get me a loaner, which I appreciate. The loaners are always clean and in great condition. I highly recommend Toyota Sunnyvale and Yvonne Nesme! More

I was able to get an appointment that fit my personal schedule within a couple of days. The employees have answered my questions with respect and clarity. Ivonne called me several times to let me know what was being done, and how long it would be before the work was done.
