New car salesman Although I had a pleasant experience with James it was the newspaper ad that brought me to the dealership. I was quite surprised to see the differe Although I had a pleasant experience with James it was the newspaper ad that brought me to the dealership. I was quite surprised to see the difference in the quoted price of a lease to the actual cost involved. As I notice more and more newspaper ads, television ads or on-line ads it's hard to determine what the actual monthly cost really is. I guess you need to be an informed consumer to put up with hidden costs that are added in just as you are when outright purchasing a new car. The destination fee, the $250 "administration fee", (which as one dealership stated), like paying a supermarket clerk to check out your groceries. Anyway, kudos to James and let him know my brother's name is Mike. More

We walked into the dealership thinking we wouldn't be getting a car because of how upside down we were in a lease. We happily walked out with a brand new car that we absolutely love! I would highly suggest to anyone looking for a new car to visit Ganley Subaru East specifially to see James. We will be back in a few years when we are ready to trade in our second car. More

Great experience I had been considering a Forester since the auto show 2 months ago. This dealership had the most inventory around so I could narrow my choice down to I had been considering a Forester since the auto show 2 months ago. This dealership had the most inventory around so I could narrow my choice down to trim level and options packages after seeing actual vehicles. Doug and Mike, sales managers, were very prompt with pricing answers, and James, the product specialist who sold me the car, really knew the vehicles and was very thorough during the delivery and even followed up a few days later. Surprisingly, even the time with the finance manager was pleasant, low key, and no high pressure to sign up for extra services. More

Wonderful Experience When I purchase a car, I like to do my research and take my time finding the right fit. I prefer manual transmission cars and Subaru seems to be one o When I purchase a car, I like to do my research and take my time finding the right fit. I prefer manual transmission cars and Subaru seems to be one of the few makers left still cranking out the ol' stick shifts. I stopped in to see what was available after checking out Ganley East on both autotraders and then their website directly. I test drove an Impreza and Crosstrek but wasn't 100% sold on either. I left to think things over and James checked in a few times but never once put on the pressure. I had wanted to check out a Forester that had just came in but it wasn't quite ready for a test drive yet so a few weeks later, I saw it was still on the lot and decided to head in for another test drive. This was 100% the car that I wanted. I love the Foresters and they are somewhat difficult to find in manual so this was truly a find! Again, I left to think things over and crunch some numbers on my end. I came in about 5 days later to do another once over before starting to negotiate. They really worked with me on getting the right price for the Forester as well as my trade in. Everyone I interacted with at Ganley East was professional and 100% NO pressure which is what I look for in a dealership. Had they had even a hint of pressure put on, I probably would've walked away without the car I purchased which would have really been a bummer! Overall, a great experience, very stress free. They handled all the paperwork including getting my insurance switched over. Highly recommend this dealership! More

Dealership helped me overcome lack of desired car color Everything went well in my purchase of the Subaru Premium I wanted until my salesman tried to find one in the desired color. I really wanted a horizon Everything went well in my purchase of the Subaru Premium I wanted until my salesman tried to find one in the desired color. I really wanted a horizon blue one, but there was none on the lot. I finally agreed to take a jasper green one that would be at another dealer's in 12 days. When that day came, the car didn't, reportedly because of flooding in the Midwest. No one knew when that car might be shipped. I said I'd accept my third choice, ice silver metallic, but there were none of those available either. Finally, my salesman, James Callender, and the sales manager (Mike, didn't catch the last name) were able to find a silver one in Boardman. I was able to pick it up the next day and am delighted by it, even though I would have preferred another color. I was impressed with the efforts of the sales department to satisfy me. But I think Subaru needs to make more cars in colors other than black, white and dark gray. Chris Larick More

My salesman, James Callender, greated me and answered all my questions. When I decided to buy he was right there with me the whole time and helped me negotiate a deal that I was happy with. Then he took all the time I needed to explain the different apps and how to work them. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a car. More
