I went into the dealership wanting a new car. Joe Chester was busy but stopped what he was doing to greet my husband and myself. My family and extended family have been purchasing our vehicles from Ditschman Ford for nearly 40 years. We bought cars, vans, trucks, and Lincolns. And now... even my children, have begun to continue the tradition.
There's a reason we keep going back. "Mr. Steve Kalafer", personally, has always made us feel like family friends when he sees us. He and his team always present us with great deals, respectful service, and attentive, competent, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. While we're not 'personal' friends, they always made us feel that way.
Getting to the point; I think it's important to call out two extraordinary examples of the culture Mr. Kalafer has bred into this organization.
My wife and I just bought a Ford EcoSport. Joe Chester, Client Advisor spent a generous amount of time with us, describing options, availability, purchase/lease options, capped by a trial drive.
The first evening, it was getting late. While I was assured MULTIPLE TIMES, by Joe Chester and Chris Messina, (Sales Manager), that the late hour was not even the tiniest issue, we went home to consider our impending purchase.
This is when Joe Chester and Chris Messina stepped up far and above and beyond what anyone could have possibly expected of them:
My wife, looked up the vehicle to show some friends who visited that evening. While looking it up, she discovered a color she loved, that Ditschman didn't have in their inventory. As we searched on-line for the color and options we desired, naturally, we were bombarded with offers and promises. We must have fielded 15-20 emails from competitor dealers.
(Frankly, there were even a few that were 'financially' better than what Chris and Joe initially offered.)
Since I have such a sincere admiration, and connection to Ditschman, and since we sincerely appreciated Joe and Chris we gave them every possible advantage for the sale.
I continually, (and probably frustratingly), challenged Chris with the information provided by those other dealerships. He was patient and educational, as he investigated all options for me. While "pricing" wound up the smallest bit higher at Ditschman, in the end, I decided to continue our tradition with a dealership that I trust, and to which I have a connection.
Bottom line: I sincerely appreciate the caliber of the employees at Ditschman.
I have ALWAYS recommended Distchman to anyone looking for a vehicle. But now, I think I'll be stepping up that game to recommend Joe Chester specifically! You will not be sorry.
