In my experience they didn’t quite have their scheduling for service figured out so I ended up going twice which was a hassle. More

James & Katie We understand your frustrations and concerns. It sounds like you are experiencing what’s called (Buyer’s Remorse) though, it refers to negative emotions-such as regret, anxiety or guilt-that consumers may experience after buying an item. It’s typically linked to large purchases- like a car or a new home. We completely understand those feelings, and we never want any customers to not be happy with the vehicle they purchased. As a company we have tried to work with you both in finding a solution that would meet your needs. You were unsatisfied with the purchase of your first vehicle and the solutions we were trying to make with that. In doing so you decided to trade that vehicle in for a different one. Whenever you get out of a vehicle shortly after you purchase it, you will naturally have some negative equity. This is due to the fact of state taxes and fees that we as a dealership don’t control, nor do we make any money off of that. The only exception to this, is if you put enough money down upfront to cover those. As you are aware due to supply and demand it has caused everything to increase in pricing. Homes, vehicles, gas, groceries, parts, etc. The numbers you gave on the current vehicle saying that is what you should have purchased it for is wholesale prices. Meaning that is what we as a dealer buy the vehicle for, we then have to put money into vehicles to recondition them and other costs involved. When all is said and done as a dealer we then are in those vehicles more than those wholesale prices you are referring to. We offered to buy the vehicle back from you, but naturally it would be your responsibility to pay the state taxes and fees from not only the first purchase, but the second as well. That is where the difference between what we will buy it for and what your payoff is. Again, we do not control that, but people can take it up with state legislation if they don’t agree with it. We understand why you declined that option. Everything is clearly defined in your paperwork. You had every opportunity to not go through with either of the purchases or try to do additional negotiations. You knowingly signed both vehicle purchase contracts stating you agreed to the legal binding terms. Toyota Customer Service reviewed the case after your complaint and found there was no wrongdoing on our part as well. So I am sure you can imagine that we are perplexed that you would take this to the “internet” essentially trying to revert consumers to do business with us, knowing you signed a legal document not once, but twice and us both times trying to come up with a solution to make sure that you were both happy. In simple terms, not only are you trying to cost us business but it is also looking like you are trying to extort us because of buyers remorse. We are sorry we couldn’t find a solution that would work for you, and we wish you both the best.
