A problem arose during my service where gasoline was allowed to spill throughout the engine compartment. I only found out because of the overwhelmingly strong fumes I experienced as soon as I drove it a allowed to spill throughout the engine compartment. I only found out because of the overwhelmingly strong fumes I experienced as soon as I drove it away. I returned to the dealer immediately. They apologized, but “cleaned” it solely by pouring water inside the engine bay. I received a follow up call asking me about my service experience. I told the rep what happened. I suggested that the appropriate response should have been to thoroughly clean and detail the engine bay. After a few days and a few more calls, they agreed. I took an afternoon off and brought the car back in where they properly cleaned the engine bay. I am grateful, but it would have been better and less time consuming had they done that right off the bat. More
