I just had one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a car dealership during a potential purchase and sell of my current 2020 BMW 330 lease. Mind you this would be my 3rd purchase from this dealershi at a car dealership during a potential purchase and sell of my current 2020 BMW 330 lease. Mind you this would be my 3rd purchase from this dealership if I were to have bought another vehicle from them. I was looking to sell my BMW that was in a lease and received a quote from another local dealership that was a bit further away. I then called BMW Portland and talked with Jaden who was one of the salespeople to help me. I told him that I was really simply just trying to sell my lease and to get a match with the value that the other BMW was offering and that I was really looking into other vehicles to purchase after I sell this because I know the cost of BMW's have gone up since covid. I made it a point to ask if they could match the price to purchase and that I was really not interested in purchasing a car today being that I did some research on buying another BMW and it was out of the budget. He told me that it was very likely they can match the price to buy my car and they would "take care of me" since I bought many vehicles from them. The reiterated many times about how I was "family" and they will treat me right. All that to be said, I get there and be pushes me towards a test drive even though I told him I was simply trying to sell my car and I know that the numbers on a new car most likely wont work because of my research. Mind you, I was also in a massive rush to get my lease car sold since that day was the end of my lease and I was very communicative about that from the first phone call. He could not find the keys for the test drive for 30 minutes as I am now waiting in the new car lot waiting for him. I finally drive it and come back and wait to get a number for my lease vehicle. Jaden comes back with a $1000 a month payment on a new X3 which is INSANELY high compared to other dealerships for pricing on a BMW lease. They truly did not in fact but their best foot forward in any way and disrespected me from the get go. I told him that was not going to work and that I needed to go sell my car asap since it was the last day for me lease. The manager Wade came up after I said I was not moving forward on the lease and I asked him if they can at least match the value for my lease car to purchase and they hit me $2000 lower than what the other BMW dealer offered me. He smirked at me and I asked for my keys since I at that point spent over 2 hours at the dealerships when I told them I have only 45 min or less to spend there and my #1 objective was to sell my car. All this to be said, the experience made it so I will NEVER purchase or recommend anyone to Portland BMW ever again. I communicated clearly my needs and they continually didn't care and pushed their objective. I ended up selling my vehicle at BMW Eugene and had an amazing experience. Please, whatever you do, do not go to this dealership for a new vehicle! More
