100% Satisfied John Poyner & Phil Richardson was an absolute blessing. I walked in nervous that I would not qualify for anything dependable without a substantial amo John Poyner & Phil Richardson was an absolute blessing. I walked in nervous that I would not qualify for anything dependable without a substantial amount of money down, as I did not have a trade-in. I was COMPLETELY wrong! I gave John all of my financial information (good and bad), he asked me what was important to me in a vehicle, and he highly recommended several he thought I would like. He then introduced me to Phil, who was just as amazing as John. He was so kind, patient, understanding, and knowledgeable with every vehicle I had questions about (and trust me, I had a lot)! From start to finish Phil gave me his 100% undivided attention, which is hard to find these days. He was COMPLETELY professional and helped me narrow down my choices with hands on demonstrations, knowledge of each car, front to back, and reassured that even after the car I picked was purchased that he would be available, if I had more questions or concerns. About two years ago, I purchased a vehicle from another dealership in Lubbock. Now that I have another car buying experience to compare with my first experience, I can help put things into perspective for other individuals out there in my position. (2016 'Other Lubbock Dealership Experience)- I had a bad gut feeling from the time that we walked in. With no experience at this point, I figured it was normal as you hear about 'the car buying experience terror." Having a $9,800 down payment, fair credit and a 100% on-time payment history, we left with a 2014 Jeep Sahara, with approx. 30,000. When we wanted and definitely qualified for the exact same Jeep that had a lift kit already installed. The salesman informed us the lifted jeep was out of our price range. With us needing a vehicle quickly and, again, having no experience, trusted what he said and agreed to the lesser of the two. In the paperwork process, he proceeded to tell us, that he makes 'great money at this dealership, because he gets at least a $2,000 commission on each sale'.We drove away with the jeep at a ridiculous interest rate, 84 months of payments at $449.50/mo. With a warranty that had all sorts of restrictions. In fact, we had to have transmission work done recently. We had to take it to a dealership 35 miles away for several weeks, and in less than a week realized that they did NOT replace the transmission, but fixed the cheapest part that would make it last long enough for the warranty to run out! (2018 Frank Brown Experience with John & Phil)- I quickly learned that I should have listened to my gut with the 'first experience at the other dealership'. With no money down I was able to drive away that day in a BRAND NEW vehicle that WE LOVE, with less that 2% interest, and a warranty that is UNBEATABLE! I have already been speaking with two friends that are in the looks for vehicles and they will be going to see John & Phil at Frank Brown. If I knew I wouldn't be upside on the Jeep, I would take it to these two in a heartbeat, because I trust them with all of my heart! THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I WILL SHOP FOR A VEHICLE IN THE FUTURE.
