Brookfield Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

I am very disappointed with my recent visit and consequent purchase at Brookfield in Benton Harbor, Mi. OnMarch 13, 2024 I bought a 2019 Ford Escape during their “big sales event”. I am a 73 year o consequent purchase at Brookfield in Benton Harbor, Mi. OnMarch 13, 2024 I bought a 2019 Ford Escape during their “big sales event”. I am a 73 year old woman who was there alone and I wasn’t told the truth about a few things. First I was told by the sales person that he was going to “ cut me a check for $1,000 to cover my first two car payments. When I asked about this he said he had applied it to the loan but he didn’t. I was also told that he was going to “give me a warranty- I actually ended up paying $3,000 for. I was told several times (because I asked) that GAP insurance had been put on the vehicle which I discovered wasn’t and I had to put it on through my agent. I also don’t think this car - a 2019 Ford Escape with over 62,000 miles on it is valued at $25,000. I wasn’t told that this car came from Maryland and was owned by Enterprise Rental Co. I wasn’t aware of this until I found their registration in the glove box after I got home with the car. If I had known it was used as a rental car I would not have bought it and I believe that this should be a fact that is revealed to the potential buyer so the price can be negotiated. I have already spoken with someone at Brookfield and I know I have no recourse. I know this is very long but I wanted to get everything in so as to perhaps save another elderly person from being as naive and gullible as I was and if so the effort was well worth it. More
