Stay away! Went to pick up new Rv (Alliance valor 36v11) . The Rv itself has lots of issues, that’s for another day. They had 6 weeks to get unit ready. Here’s what we found when we arrived. 1- awning would not work 2- Generator would not start 3 No water to check pump and all the fixtures. 4- No gas in either of the tanks. 5- parked inside so you could not check solar system. 6- no water so could not check water heater. My assumption is that with the issues we did find there were others that didn’t want to disclose. Incompetence at its finest.
Have purchased 3 RVs over the years from Wilkins. Been satisfied each time. All depts are helpful and will help you in any way possible. Service dept is willing to help in any way. Very knowledgeable, friendly,& helpful in any way they can. They got over & beyond. I would highly recommend Wilkins RV in Bath to anyone looking for an RV or needing service. Best around
Inquired about the availability of a specific new motorhome in a particular size and floor plan. They did not have any in their inventory, so we located one at a Jayco dealer in Albany NY, (which is another story). We were told that any Jayco dealer could do the warranty repairs and it was not necessary to take it back to the dealer you purchased it from. Which is no different than a car manufacturer or any type of vehicle or equipment. Scheduled the warranty to replace a separated window seal in the camper that was leaking and remove a seal that either needed to be fixed or cut off in the entry door. After several weeks of not hearing anything back from them, I had to call several times, got their main operator and was told they would get back to me. Which they eventually did a day after I had called several times. When I went to pick it up, I was told I owed $275 for Diagnostic fees that they required seeing I didn't buy the motorhome from them. When I dropped it off and signed the work order, they also had me initial an area where they had written in that fee. Except they did not explain what the fee was for, and I had assumed that it was an hourly charge if they had to make any non-warranty repairs due to something I had done. So not only did they get my $275, but they also are getting paid for a warranty claim for probably a repair that cost less than what I had paid. This same motorhome that I had purchased in April had an issue with the generator not have any power to the starter right after I purchased it. I ended up taking it to Myers RV in Sayre which is closer to me and they could get it right in. They made the repairs needed and put in a warranty claim to Jayco with no fees charged to me. So Buyer beware that even if purchase a new Jayco RV from another dealer and need repairs, you will be charge a ridiculous Diagnostic fee starting at $275 even if it is under warranty from Wilkins RV in Bath. Whereas I am not sure about other Jayco dealers, but Myers RV does not charge you a fee. I only tried Wilkins service because they seem to have a good reputation and camper inventory. Because of our experience from the dealer we purchased from, we thought maybe we would purchase our next camper from Wilkins. However, they just helped us decide whom not to purchase a camper from.
Bought a travel trailer in September of 22, wanted to trade up for a 23. Paid 28,000. Was told it was worth 13,000 on trade! This was from the guy that sold it to us! And he laughed about it! I've had this for 2 years now, the Canopy Ripped and the pump doesn't work! I was told the warranty was only for 1 year( are you kidding me). Would I recommend these people xxxx No! This was for a 2022 Wolf Pup Limited!
Went to trade in our camper that we bought from them less than 5 years ago. They expected us to completely eat the cost of the trade in almost $20k. Walked out after that insult! Terrible business
Saw advertised price. Went to purchase and price was wrong on ad and raised the price 2k. Stupid me still purchased camper. Getting it was just as bad. Syracuse location Service tech was the only one that cared and did what he said he would.
