Explore USA Kyle tried to sell us a fifth wheel that was too heavy to legally tow on my driver's license - A Class A non-commercial driver's license is required in the state of Texas to tow any combination with a Gross Combined Vehicle Rating (GCVR) over 26,000 lbs per Tx DoT. The 2019 Heartland Torque we settled on is a complete xxxxx. It has been in the shop for a month now, with three pages of write-ups! Right out of the gate, the positive wire to the battery disconnect (ironically, an optional safety feature) was routed over the frame, under the floor, which caused an electrical fire. The manufacturer rep we were dealing with quit, and we have heard nothing else. The generator was improperly installed, and we could have died from Carbon Monoxide poisoning!
