What I thought was going to be a great experience at Armenia Motors has turned into a complete nightmare. I live in Louisiana and was searching for a very specific type of vehicle. One which I was able to locate at Armenia Motors, so I reached out and put a deposit on the vehicle and had the vehicle professionally inspected by POMCAR. While the inspector noted that there were several faults with the cooling system, he did not indicate that it was something that I should look into further. I’m not mechanically inclined, which is why I had a professional inspection, so I figured it would have been listed as a problem if it were in fact a problem. So I went ahead with the purchase of the vehicle. I made arrangements to fly out to Knoxville and arranged transportation to the dealership. I also made hotel accommodations to spend the night and drive the vehicle back the next day. I arrived at the dealership and went through the process. Anastasia was nice enough throughout. On my drive the very next day, at my first refueling stop, I noticed a burning smell, like something was burning in the engine. But I had been driving for a couple hours so I brushed it off as something that usually happens after a long drive. The next day, the car gave an indication that the coolant in the system was low. Odd because the report indicated that all of the fluids were full at the time of the inspection. I decided to take my car to my mechanic and within minutes he was able to deduce that there was a severe leak, not only in the water pump but in several locations. He was clear to point out that this was not something that could have developed quickly and that the dealership had probably had to top off the coolant regularly. After less than 72 hour with the vehicle that Anastasia at Armenia Motors sold me, I ended up with a $3,500 repair bill and four days without a vehicle. I tried to reach out to Anastasia and of course, she never returned any of my texts or calls. I called the main line and left a message for someone to call me back and never received a return call. These guys are the kind of people that give used car dealers a bad reputation. If you’re looking for a used vehicle, I strongly encourage you to shop elsewhere.
