What Others Say

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Homer Skelton and would not recommend this dealership based on how my repair has been handled. I brought my RAM to Homer Skelton because it was overheating. At the time I dropped it off, there were no check engine lights or diagnostic codes. I was told the turbo coolant system had failed and needed replacement. The repair cost approximately $3,200, and I was informed that the coolant system had been flushed as part of the repair. When I picked up the truck, the check engine light came on almost immediately after starting it. I notified the dealership before even leaving the lot. I was initially told it was likely a battery issue, and the code was simply cleared and I was told to return if it came back on. Within approximately ten minutes of leaving the lot, the check engine light returned. I stopped at both AutoZone and O'Reilly Auto Parts, where their scanners indicated an exhaust-related pressure sensor code that appeared to have recently been cleared. I returned the truck to Homer Skelton, where they then acknowledged the pressure sensor code and later began identifying additional issues, including the thermostat. Ironically, another dealership had previously inspected the thermostat and advised it was functioning properly. Over the following weeks, my vehicle remained in Homer Skelton's possession while additional problems continued to appear. I was later told the thermostat had been replaced "as a courtesy," then informed the issue was actually the exhaust filter, with an estimated repair cost of approximately $4,000. During this process, I also experienced new throttle-related warnings and an exhaust filter warning that increased from 80% clogged to 100% clogged shortly after leaving the dealership. None of these warning lights or issues existed before Homer Skelton performed the original repair. Throughout this process I repeatedly requested detailed repair documentation and invoices explaining exactly what work had been performed. Instead, I received paperwork containing crossed-out items, incomplete descriptions, and diagnostic charges that appeared repetitive. Despite requesting multiple times, I have never received a clear explanation of why these new issues appeared immediately after the original repair. What concerns me most is that: My truck had no check engine lights before arriving at the dealership. The first check engine light appeared immediately after their repair. The dealership repeatedly cleared codes instead of resolving the underlying issue. Additional problems continued appearing while the vehicle remained in their possession. I was repeatedly asked to authorize thousands of dollars in additional repairs for issues that arose after the original repair. Management has not responded to my repeated requests to discuss this matter directly. The vehicle has now been out of my possession for approximately eight weeks, and I still do not have a properly repaired truck. During one phone conversation, I could also hear employees using profane language while discussing another customer, which was very unprofessional and further diminished my confidence in the dealership. I simply wanted my all the issues they have created such as the exhaust pressure sensor replaced, the exhaust pressure filter replaced and the throttle repaired correctly. Instead, I have spent weeks without my vehicle, incurred significant repair costs, and continue to face additional repair recommendations for problems that did not exist when the truck was brought in to Homer Skelton. I hope Homer Skelton's management will step in, thoroughly review this repair history, communicate directly with me, and work toward a fair resolution. At this point, I am seeking accountability, proper repairs, and reimbursement for work that did not resolve the original problem.

Found vehicle online, arranged sales price etc ahead of time. The moment I was left there by my ride, no test drive no reviewing vehicle, just surprise price increase and down payment increase and attempts to upsell and upsell...and then they didn't send correct taxes so the tax office calling me now. If you leave a message for someone to call back, don't hold your breathe waiting. They don't call back - no sales or any support after the sale. They got the money so they're done. Significantly disappointed in this dealership. Expect the same ole high-pressure car dealership experience from Homer Skelton dealerships.

They were really attentive and patient with us. Highly recommend. Good dealership for the city of Millington

They advertised a corvette for sale I contacted them regarding the 2007 corvette regarding the price of the vehicle we negotiated and were able to reach a fair deal for the both of us, I went to check the vehicle out the very next day but when I arrived at the dealership to test drive the corvette I was told it was in thei shop for repairs . Why would u advertise a vehicle for sale and agree on a price and tell me to come check it out and the vehicle isn’t up to par that’s not taking care of business!!!!!!! Extremely unlikely to ever do business with someone like that.

Best vehicle buying experience ever! no pressure to buy at all. The salesman was mostly interested that I understood the truck and the deal.

Worst service department ever! Technicians don’t seem to have the skill level to complete troubleshooting on newer vehicles. All knowledge is from the computer system. Had my 2019 Dodge Ram in for a check engine light that was diagnosed as a EVAP system leak. 8 visits later they still can’t figure out what is wrong. Got a call from the service manager when I filled out a online survey. He stated that he was sorry that I have been having a bad experience and that he would like to make it up to me. Offered a courtesy vehicle to me when it was available, but never heard back from him or anyone else. The call was just a check in the box for the dealership to say that they made contact with a disgruntled customer. Highly recommend taking all of your vehicle needs somewhere else as these guys can’t even do an oil change correctly.
