I recently bought a used scion from them. It was in great condition and ran perfectly. They even helped me get financed with very limited credit and a previous foreclosure. My husband is also self employeed so it was a very tough situation. They were friendly through the whole process and I would recommend them to everyone.
We purchased a 2008 Buick Enclave CXL from the Blake and Kim on January 27th, 2019. We were told the vehicle had been in inventory since November 2018 and that the owners had even taken the SUV on a family ski trip. We were assured the vehicle had been gone through completely. Other than it being used, nothing was wrong with the SUV. The transaction was quick and painless taking less than an hour and a half including a test drive. After the purchase, we drove the SUV across the street and filled it up. The dealership does not fill up the vehicles for you. We then drove the SUV to Duvall, stopping at a Jiffy Lube to have a quick lube oil and filter check. All the fluids checked out OK. However, the tires were all low by 5-10 pounds and the air filter was filthy. We had it replaced. The term “As Is No Warranty” began going through my mind. On Monday morning I decided to take the SUV to work. Starting it up the engine light was on, great. I plugged in my ODB reader and read the code P4096 indicating a problem with the fuel system. A quick Google pointed to faulty “purge control valve’. I ordered a new one from Amazon once I got to work. I started having buyer’s remorse and the term “As Is No Warranty” kept popping into my head. I made an appointment at AutoLogix near my work in Bellevue. They got the car in the next day and performed an overall inspection. The inspection found dirty brake fluid with metal particles in it, a broken rear right rear stabilizer link, defective rear shocks and the vehicle needed to be aligned. AutoLogix sent photos of the defects to me along with the quote. Reluctantly I approved the repair charges of $1083.19. At the same time, I reached out to Blake and Kim via email. I explained what AutoLogix had found and that the vehicle was being repaired. I asked that they step up and help cover the cost, as in my opinion, these are items that should have been addressed prior to the dealership placing the vehicle for sale on their lot. Blake responded by asking for me to send him the quote, which I promptly did along with the pictures so that his “mechanic” could look at it. After a couple of back and forth emails, on February 2nd, 2019 Blake agreed via email to pay $300 towards the repair, claiming his mechanic could have performed the repairs much cheaper. Its now February 12th, 2019 and no payment has been received. In closing, if your going to consider doing business with Walker Motors take the vehicle to a reliable mechanic for a thorough inspection before you hand over any hard cash. Which is what I should have done in the first place. Else you might suffer from buyer’s remorse like me while having the phrase “As is No Warranty” run through your mind.
