I negotiated a lease with Thompson Chevrolet Buick GMC over a two‑week period. The finance manager sent me three written lease agreements, all showing the same residual value and terms. Based on these documents, I completed a credit application and scheduled a pickup appointment. After approval, the dealership informed me that the residual value they had used in all three agreements was incorrect and rescinded the deal. This occurred after my credit was pulled and after I had turned down other offers. The dealership had multiple opportunities to identify the error before sending repeated agreements and running my credit. This experience was unprofessional and caused unnecessary inconvenience.
