Avoid. Very deceitful finance managers. Pushes add ons even if you refuse and dont sign. Purchased 2025 Hyundai Tucson 01/2025. To start salesmen was polite. Issue comes from finance manager. Where do I even begin with this nightmare? Upon entering the finance office. Other finance manager raises APR from 8.99 to 9.99% for spite right in front of me. Would not let me use my capital one bank. I kept telling Isaih I didn't want any other optional products such as Dealer General Elite Plus Plan for 998.00 and Caltex 298.00. I understand the etching portion. However after profusely denying i wanted the extra "add on" the finance manager ignored me. At this point after exhausting myself because i know he lied to me i was trapped in a loan with add ons i didn't want and or need even though i profusely refused. I recently sold the vehicle and went back to get the other warranties refunded. First time I was told they were to busy. OK so I go back again spoke with other manager tells me to sit and wait. This time sat with Isaiah again. Same song and dance this time he did let me cancel GAP and Extended warranties. Still claims the other two products are not refundable. However during purchase I profusely stated I did not want those 2 "add ons". I even have the documents in front of me where I refused my signature. I would never recommend this dealership again. Not only was the other finance manager spiteful and loud Isiah could not take no for an answer on two products. I am also filing a BBB complaint along with SC Consumer Affairs. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, I understand these guys have to make some profit but I was lied to and cheated. I have included proof that I refused said products. Please if your unable to waste hours arguing please avoid. Unbelievable amount of lies and trickery.
Since I purchased my first vehicle from this dealership, three years ago, I’ve seen the customer service in the service department go up and down. The last few times I was in they were absolutely amazing. Today I walked in for an oil change and was considering trading in.my use vehicle for a new one. That changed quickly with the rudeness of the representative and what I overheard other Representatives speaking to customers. I don’t know what’s changed with this dealership, but I would highly recommend looking somewhere else to purchase a vehicle because you will have to deal with this service department if you purchase from this dealership. The level of standards that the employees are being held to has obviously changed significantly in just a few months. Also found after going somewhere else that the air filter was never changed even thought this dealership supposedly did it last month.
Had an emergency situation where the all the Electrify America superchargers in North Charleston were completely offline. Was in Charleston moving my daughter out of her dorm and needed to get home to Columbia. Used the Chargepoint app to find the only other fast charger in the area at this Hyundai dealership. Went in and explained to the salesman my situation and that I only needed to charge for a few minutes just enough to get home, he was very understanding and said sure no problem, I thanked him very much and offered to pay whatever they wanted for the assistance and he said no worries. As I’m starting to charge the internet sales manager Ben comes out and says I can’t use the charger. He proceeds to start spouting lie after lie. This charger only works for Hyundai’s, my guy it’s a universal CCS charger it works on any EV. When I explain my situation and how the other superchargers in that area are all down right now and offer to pay whatever he wants just to get a 15 minute charge to get home, he says they aren’t set up to take payments!!? Really?! You are a car dealership right, no ability to take my credit card or even some cash for some basic human level assistance here? Bottom line is if they are willing to lie repeatedly about something as silly as this, I certainly wouldn’t trust them to handle an actual sale involving thousands of dollars. Guessing the people in Charleston have already figured this out though since there wasn’t a single customer in the entire showroom :)) Sales 101 guys, everyone that walks in is a potential customer, and you sell EV’s. Novel idea, instead of making up silly lies and wasting both of our time with nonsense why not take the 15 minutes I needed to charge up to get home as an opportunity to tell me a little about how your EV’s are the better than what I’m currently driving and see if I’d like to check one out?
Mr. Percy service was extremely excellent and professional in everything he did. I was so surprised how quick he got me out of there. He can always help me. Thanks again.
I experienced great customer service at Hyundai of North Charleston from Percy. He was able to get my car looked at promptly and the issue resolved even though there were no appointments available online to schedule. He kept me informed of the progress and also brought the technician out to see me for further explanations.
Percy White did a great job with servicing my vehicle. Was in and out in less than 2 hours.
