Unethical bait and switch tactics of a stereotypical used car company. Wasted a huge amount of our before they showed their true colors. Hopefully this review will spare others from our experience.
Provided VIN, pictures, walk around video of the vehicle to prevent an hour and half drive happening for them to adjust the price for less than they promised. They drove it, hooked it up to see if any codes popped up, no problem. “Well, even though we’re not sure what the difference in equipment is, it’s not the trim level that was listed” $10,600 turned into an offer of $8,500… the owner replied back to my google review claiming that I said I’m “an industry expert” and not to quit my day job LOL… I’m guessing because said I used to sell cars a few years ago and was looking to help a relative….? Very professional. I was given this grand explanation that they spend a lot of money on their data and analytics to make sure they price vehicles right… so they had the VIN and pictures and videos days before hand when we agreed on the value… and you’re telling me you couldn’t determine the trim level then?
In 2015 I purchased a Used Lexus RX450H from one of the related dealerships and it was an excellent experience. Then, during the pandemic, my young coworker's car died and he was in a panic. The only used car group I could trust was this dealership. I called Paddy to see if they had any Honda Civics. They had three. We drove 70 miles from New Jersey to see them. Paddy had mentioned that one of the three was a rare find because of its condition and it was an EX-L. We took it to a nearby Honda Dealer and Paddy was correct - the garage kept 2012 Civic was almost like brand new. On the way home, the average mileage was 41.5 MPG. I will use this dealer and/or the related dealers over and over again. There is no used car dealership that I trust more than this group. They make you feel like family and the price was good, even in a pandemic when there is a big shortage of used cars. And to find this diamond was just very lucky for us. Thank you Paddy and Michelle and the whole team at just Joes. How a used car dealership should be. Honest, friendly and helpful. Fantastic. Rebecca.
Purchased a 2001 Corvette convertible. Saw it online and set the appointment. They shared the carfax and a shop report they do that show what the inspection revealed - it is very helpful. The car drove well and they gave me a good deal on my trade. They also kept a folder the previous owner had made. Professional pics, and all service records since day 1 neatly arranged. Very Helpful to have. Everyone was very helpful and friendly - once I made the decision a few days later to make the deal; the paperwork was ready and in good order. I was in and out in 15 minutes. The car was detailed and very clean for delivery.
Drove 45 minutes to see a Mercedes C300 and it didn’t even start! Unacceptable and unprofessional. Don’t waste your time with this dump heap!
Terrible buying experience. I went to the dealership a few months ago. The car I purchased was a Lexus GS. The car was basically junk along with most of their cars on the lot. It was riddled with holes in the exhaust system and the engine was burning massive amounts of oil. The sales team also said I couldn’t get my deposit back that I used as a down payment. Totally unprofessional. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is. Stay away from this lot.
