What Others Say

If I could give this dealership a negative rating, I would. I’ve bought 10 new cars and 3 used cars, and this has been my worst experience by far. I purchased my car in July and am still waiting for my tags. The salesman stopped responding after the sale, and neither the finance department nor the tag department has returned my calls or voicemails. After my original temporary tag expired, they sent me a replacement that’s only a temporary fix for another 60 days. If you’re buying a Genesis—especially from out of state—take your business elsewhere.

Took my Genesis there for a little bit of servicing. They were friendly, professional and competent.

My car buying experience with Gabriella at Genesis of Cary was great. I was arriving from out of town and she arranged a courtesy pickup from the airport to take me to the dealership. When we arrived, the car (2024 Infiniti Q50) was right out front and as described virtually and from photos and videos. She promptly allowed me to take the car for a test drive and explained some features. Once we arrived back at the dealership and I decided to proceed with buying, Gabriella walked me through the process and paperwork. She also offered me snacks and refreshments from the lounge. The entire process was very smooth. Upon completion, Gabriella installed my 60-day plates, gave me the keys and offered to walk me to the car. She suggested that I take photos with my new car and brought out a big bow to place on top. Overall, Gabriella was very friendly and made the car buying experience at Genesis of Cary extremely pleasant. I was very happy with my purchase from them.

It was excellent service from start to finnish, along with customer service. I would recommend them anytime.

Arlene Cordova at Genesis of Cary was amazing! She went above and beyond to understand what I was looking for and helped me find the perfect car. She was professional, patient, knowledgeable, and never made me feel pressured. Arlene truly cared about making sure I was happy with my purchase. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great car-buying experience!

Took my G80 in for first service (5K). It's an EV, so not much is needed, tire rotation, software updates and some inspections. Had three minor issues to check under warranty, intermittent problem with keyless entry, homelink and driver's door needed adjustment to close with the appropriate force, all items should be covered under new car warranty. I was presented with an estimate of $890 for diagnosis and repair IF the malfunctions were found to be outside of warranty coverage. I of course declined the repairs and diagnosis. As a 30 year veteran of the automotive industry, including a stint with Genesis of America, I have never seen or heard of a dealer proposing that a repair clearly covered under warranty will cost the customer nearly $1000. OUTRAGEOUS. I love my G80 but stay clear of Genesis of Cary/ Johnson Genesis. I drove 3 hours away to buy my G80 due to poor sales experience, now I'll have to go to Hyundai to have my G80 serviced in the future.
