Extremely unprofessional. Tried to add charges for things that weren’t on the vehicle. When I questioned it, I was told it was something that was put on every vehicle as soon as it is unloaded off the truck. That was not true. Then they changed it to say they recommended it for every vehicle. Then the tried to charge me almost double the sales tax. Then lied about that. I don’t trust them at all.
I own a GV80 purchased through Genesis of Monroeville. The car is great - the service is a bait and switch and is awful. They send you 45 minutes away to Pleasant Hills and good luck speaking with a live human there. Tried to get a COVERED tire leak repaired and NEVER got a call only a delayed email saying when can I bring the car across town to them! This isn't even good service for Hyundai let alone a luxury brand. Stay away from Genesis of Monroeville if you actually want a luxury brand experience.

I called on 7/27/23 and spoke with Austin (Genesis Advisor) to schedule an appointment for my first oil change on my GV70 2.5T. I was told that he could get me in on 7/28/23 at 3pm. I explained to him I was coming from 200 miles away. The only reason I came to the dealership to have my oil changed in the first place is because I cannot find an oil filter for the vehicle. When I arrived at the dealership I was told it would be a 3 hour wait. Austin advised me that I did not have an appointment scheduled and denied ever speaking to me. I contacted the Service Manager on my way home (Ryan) and left him a message, he did not return my call. I think Austin simply assumed that at 3pm on a Friday would be no problem to fit me in for an oil change and did not actually schedule it therefore there was no record. I get that, but to flat out lie and say you never spoke to me is uncalled for, just say you screwed up. I would not recommend this dealership for service. The car buying process was simple but why wouldn't it be, It's not like you can negotiate the price in the current market you just pay what they are asking (or more) and you can do that at any Genesis dealer, no need to have loyalty at this point. If you want returning customers in this market you have to try a little harder. Every dealership is offering the same deals- MSRP. Not sure why the service manager did not return my call but he probably wouldn't have been able to do anything anyway but it would have been nice for him to at least call me back.
Very easy to deal with and know a lot about the vehicles that they sell.
Very courteous and professional staff. Attention to customer questions and concerns. This is my second purchase of a vehicle from Bowser. Would recommend Bowser to friends and family. Large inventory of vehicles.
