What Others Say

Service department. Unfortunately, when I bought the car I bought a service plan. I had scheduled an appointment for service and I had to cancel it due to a household appliance failure issue that I had to be home for so I called to cancel the appointment and reschedule and they weren’t very polite. So I will not be returning to Apex imports even though I bought the service plan I don’t need to go where they don’t understand cancellations and have to be rude about it.

Excellent sales people. Very helpful without being pushy. Above average cars at below average prices. Will be going back.

Bought a 2018 Lexus GX here roughly a week ago for my wife. It's been over a week, and they still have not paid off my trade-in. Reached out to finance manager asking for follow-up on the payoff for my trade. It's been radio silence. In addition the day I drove it off the lot they never put any gas in my purchased vehicle. Completely empty! Crazy considering their is a BP gas station right across the street. Oh it gets richer, they claimed they detailed the vehicle before taking ownership. Driving home with the new vehicle to surprise my wife I noticed dirt was all over the place, long hair strands, and a foul smell in the cargo area from the previous owner "apparently". I am thinking Apex Imports obviously bought the vehicle, and never cleaned it before putting it on the lot to sell. They sprayed some tire shine and sent me on my way (LOL). I briefly looked inside the vehicle during the purchase process, but my sales rep was also managing several other customers so I never got to test drive the vehicle, but had test driven other Lexus GX and trusted this one would be the same so kind of blew off test driving it. I did tell Khalid the finace manager, but he said just sign this form that you did test drive, as we have your vehicle back getting detailed. So in summary, bought a vehicle that was empty on gas, never cleaned, and they bought a mint condition Nissan Titan that had a fulll tank of gas, meticously serviced, and clean as a whistle, and hasn't been paid off yet. In hindsight I guess you could say I was the "sucker". Stopped off to put gas in the purchased vehicle and detailed it myself. Long story short, I should have turned around and gone straight back to the dealership, but thought it is what it is, and was short on time to get the vehicle back home before my wife came home. Was an 15 yr anniversary surprise. Fast forward a week, and my wife said the brakes are squeaking, and we still can't figure out what the foul smell is. My wife brought the vehicle in to the dealership for service. Supposedly nothing wrong with the brakes, and Apex imports said some rust on the rotors and sent her on her way. She did say the mechanic was very friendly so I am going to trust that they weren't misleading my wife. Going through the buying experience at Apex Imports, don't be fooled by there prices. They will do everything in their power to sell you on their warranty, gap insurance, and they force you to have this installed security system. The security system is non negotiable, and is like $500 dollars hidden within the contract. Just make sure you test drive their vehicles, and have a mechanic look it over. Definitely make them give you an ETA on when you can expect your trade-in payoff to take place. I asked and was told 3 days. Yeah over a week later still no payoff. Very concerning! I hope everyone's experience ends up being better then mine. The staff (sales rep) was friendly, and genuine but my guess is management might be the problem. I am not sure how many of the vehicles on the lot have gone through extensive servicing to get them ready for sale, but maybe mine was a one off situation. Tough to tell, but I would be hesitant to buy from this dealership again.

My husband and I purchased a 2016 red Subaru Crosstrek with 10K miles on it in January 2020 from Apex Imports. I just took the vehicle in for a state inspection. I was informed the window tint on the vehicle is illegal in NC. Apex Imports sold me a vehicle that was illegal in NC. I was in violation of the law the moment I drove the car off the lot and Apex Imports did not disclose this during the purchase process.
