RUN, DON’T WALK… AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!
This was hands down one of the worst dealership experiences I’ve ever had.
This dealership acquired an SUV I was interested in through an auction from Fred Beans Ford of Langhorne. I called and spoke with a sales associate, Logan, to confirm that the vehicle was available and to verify pricing before making the trip from out of town. On a recorded line, I specifically asked him to confirm both that the SUV had been received and that they would honor the listed price of $27,995 from the previous dealership.
Logan told me it “shouldn’t be a problem” and said he would confirm with his manager. He later CALLED me back to confirm the price and even followed up with a text confirming my appointment date, time, and location. Based on that, I finalized travel plans.
The morning of my appointment, everything fell apart. Logan began providing completely inconsistent information — first saying the SUV had been purchased again by another dealership, then saying it wouldn’t be available until Monday, and then claiming it was still at the previous dealership. All of this while I was already on my way for a scheduled appointment.
Then, about an hour later, Logan called again and completely changed the story — stating that they could not honor the price he previously confirmed and that they would instead have to sell the vehicle at the price they paid at auction which was higher.
I escalated to the sales manager, Tony, who blamed the situation on Logan being “new” and admitted he wasn’t supposed to confirm pricing over the phone. That’s not the customer’s problem — that’s a failure in training and leadership.
I then spoke with the general manager, who refused to take any accountability. He even tried to deny that Logan called me back to confirm pricing, despite me providing phone records showing the exact date, time, and number.
To make matters worse, the sales manager, Tony, stated that he would email me the call recording — and never followed through.
Instead of correcting the situation, they stood firm on not honoring the price that was clearly communicated and confirmed.
This dealership demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability at every level. I wasted time, money, and energy based on information THEY provided and then refused to stand behind.
If you value transparency, honesty, and respect as a customer, take your business elsewhere and work with a dealership that actually knows how to treat serious buyers.
My experience with Fred Beans Kia of Langhorne has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I feel it’s important to share this so other buyers understand the risks.
Less than six months ago, I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Tucson from this dealership for my daughters to share. Recently the service light came on, and after bringing the vehicle in for service at Fred Beans Hyundai (as recommended by the Kia service department), I was told the car needs a complete transmission replacement costing over $3,300.
A major mechanical failure like a transmission should not occur within six months of purchasing a vehicle. This raises serious concerns about the condition of the vehicle when it was sold and about the dealership’s inspection process. Vehicles sold by dealerships marketed as fully inspected and reliable, yet here we are facing a major failure almost immediately.
After doing some research, I also discovered that transmission issues with the 2017 Hyundai Tucson have been widely reported. As a customer, I had no way of knowing this history when purchasing the vehicle, but a dealership that sells cars for a living certainly should be aware of common problems associated with certain models.
What has been most disappointing is the complete lack of support from the Fred Beans organization. When I reached out, I was essentially told there was nothing they could do. The Kia dealership and Hyundai dealership—both part of the same Fred Beans company—seem unwilling to work together in any meaningful way to help a customer dealing with a major failure shortly after purchase.
To be clear, I was not asking for a free repair or a new vehicle. I simply hoped the dealership would show some level of customer service and work with me toward a reasonable compromise given the circumstances. Instead, the response was dismissive and left me entirely on my own with a $3,300 repair bill.
Situations like this are exactly when a dealership has the opportunity to show integrity and stand behind the vehicles they sell. Unfortunately, that did not happen here.
At this point, it feels like once the paperwork is signed, customer support from Fred Beans disappears completely.
I had an amazing experience with Fred Beans purchasing my new 2023 KIA Niro SX-Touring in runway red. While many other dealers are charring thousands and thousands over MSRP Fred Beans did not. They were honest and far with their pricing and did not try to use and sales tactics on us. In fact, they were able to provide us with incentives to purchase our new Niro. Sometime this winter we will be in the market for another KIA and Fred Beans will be our only stop. If you are in the market for a Kia or any of the brands that Fred Beans offers, I would recommend giving them a try. Also never forget all of the dealers that wanted to charge well over MSRP and avoid them even when the market corrects itself. Raceway Kia tried to charge me a " market adjustment of 5000". I will tell everyone I can to avoid at all costs.
Everything went smoothly. Agreed on a price prior to my arrival and was able to get in and out relatively quickly.
Highly recommend. Our sales person Michael Riggi did a fantastic job! He listened to what we were looking for and found it within the week! I am so happy with our new 2023 Sportage!!!
I had a great experience at Fred Beans KIA in Langhorne. The 2 men I dealt with Ashish Gupta and I'm not sure of his supervisor name unfortunately but they were so nice, customer service driven and very respectful.
It was just a very pleasant experience at Fred Beans. I highly recommend!!plus I got a great deal on my new car! Thanks again!
