What Others Say

A Pattern of Deception, Theft, and Incompetence - STAY AWAY!** **STAY AWAY FROM EXPRESS AUTO SOURCE!!!!!!!!!.** I am writing this review to warn every potential used vehicle customer in Indianapolis….and America, to avoid Express Auto Source at all costs. My truck purchasing experience there has been a masterclass in deception, incompetence, and outright fraud. On September 13, 2024, I purchased a 2013 Ram 1500 5.7L Big Horn from them. The engine light came on **the same day**. Thus began a nightmare that has lasted over a year. On September 24 they began performing major engine repairs which came with a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty. My 1st car payment came around on October 13….they were still working on the engine. I got the truck back October 30, 2024 after major engine work that they paid for. Which Proves Their Liability. Sidenote: Within that repair time I had to rent a vehicle for work which cost about $2,000. The work was so catastrophically bad that the vehicle never ran properly, even after a month-long engine repair. It still had persistent engine knocking, white smoke, and dangerous oil consumption. I took it to York Chrysler, Nov 6, 2024 for a second opinion. They confirmed my concerns of the engine performance not being right. They said it'll be 8 hours @ $225 to figure out the internal engine issue. I paid $225 for them to tell me that. I took that report right back to Express Auto Source the same day, they continue to blame others…. including me, for my taking it to Take 5 claiming Take 5 used the wrong oil. The vehicle continued to have engine issues throughout the winter. Which I continued to report back to them. In June of 2025, the engine started knocking. I took it back to them in June. I hope the history of my concerns with the original workmanship, continuously bringing it back to them over the last several months, hoping they would finally honor the 12 Month / 12000 mile warranty that came with the October 2024 engine work they did that was NEVER corrected. Now after **FIVE MONTHS**, of being lied to and told the parts that needed to be fix *their own botched repair* were on a "national backorder." The truth finally emerged TODAY!!! The original technician, **Riccard**, was fired for allegedly **stealing and terrible workmanship**. The service manager, **Alex**, was also fired, likely for the same toxic culture of dishonesty. This confirms that my vehicle was a victim of their internal corruption and incompetence from the beginning. Now, under a new service manager, their final act of betrayal is to claim my 12month/12000 mile warranty is void due to being over the milage….by 3600 miles…..they could have told me that in June—mileage I accumulated **while consistently showing proof the engine performance had issues and consistently being told I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT!** After destroying my engine and wasting a year of my life, they have the audacity to refuse responsibility for their own failed work. Their solution? They want to use my **third-party warranty** to fix their mistakes, and have now, before releasing my vehicle, slapped me with a $170 diagnostic on a vehicle **they broke and never fixed**. Sidenote: They originally tried to charge me $450 ... .I asked for and was emailed a work order, Alex, the last guy, supposedly wrote up, and charged me for a battery that I was never told I needed. Also my old battery was NOT able to be found so my truck was towed to York Chrysler WITHOUT A BATTERY!!!!! Another sidenote: I had a warranty on that old battery!!!!! xxx!!!!!??!??? **Summary of Failures:** * **Sold me a defective vehicle** with immediate engine problems. * **Performed warranty repairs that failed instantly.** * **Lied for 5 months** about parts being on backorder. * **Employed a technician fired for alleged theft and proved shoddy work** on my vehicle. * **Fired the service manager** for poor customer service. * **Refused to honor warranty
