So after numerous trips to the dealership for numerous codes on my 2023 Chevy Colorado any having my truck for a whole week. I get it back with the same problems and a charge and excuse that it was my aftermarket lights. After disconnecting my aftermarket lights still having the issue I returned the truck for another chance at fixing it. Once again having the truck for four days they said it checks out an no problems what so ever. Welp I had another check engine light and decided to check the codes at advance auto parts. Every code was a low voltage code. Four codes and they stated it was the battery not holding a charge. Replaced the battery and it has been 2 whole weeks and no check engine codes what so ever. So find a dealer that a service dept that cares and what's to find your problem. Many hours of my time and there time wasted and were unable to find the problem. Simple fix !
Follow up with regards to this dealership Colonial Chevrolet of New London, Connecticut! I've reached out now to the service manager Paul and also the General manager of this horrible dealership his name is Paul aswell...haven't heard back from anyone at this dealership including both the service manager and General manager of Colonial Chevrolet of New London! After further investigations online I see many discussed customers at Colonial Chevrolet of New London also there other Colonial Chevrolet of Massachusetts with many poor service reviews...apparently this looks terrible for them and definitely a pattern with the lack of respect for the customers and there vehicles and also high costs for services! Even going on AI they list the pros vs cons of this horrible dealership at both locations...and what was listed is every thing that happened me and my 731 mile 2024 C8 Stingray convertible corvette....this dealership really has some serious issues with the service department! I know I won't be back!! This was the worst experience with Chevrolet dealerships in my life time and I purchased 14 new corvettes from Bowling Green assembly plant...if I don't hear back from GM or service manager after Labor Day holiday weekend...I will be following up with GM's corporate offices and Bowling Greens aswell! Total lack of respect, communication skills and integrity with master technician Mark!! He went on to lie on my customers receipt and bill that my $1799.00 carbon fiber steering wheel was damaged before installation and had several lite scratches on black plastic trim bezel...little does Mark know that I have pictures of every angle of this carbon fiber steering wheel before shipping and after and before installation...I also have a minute video showing entire carbon fiber steering wheel and all trim pieces and parts...it was perfect Pristine MINT CONDITION...Mark the technician mechanic is the person who put marks with what looks to be a screwdriver instead of using a plastic trim tool to remove plastic trim covers behind carbon fiber steering wheel...these trim covers cover the 10mm bolts to remove airbag! If you made a mistake when installing ...don't lie about it...the black plastic trim bezel is approximately $175.00 for part plus installation...my carbon fiber steering wheel was $1799.00....the back has 3 small scratches on the black plastic trim bezel above the left trim cover!! So disappointed with the lack of integrity and falsely claiming that he received my carbon fiber steering wheel like this! This is really troubling!! Hopefully, this dealership is going to step up and send me a replacement black plastic trim bezel, 2 trim covers and the funds to have this replaced at the Chevrolet dealership of my choice...as I don't trust Colonial Chevrolet of New London any longer with this experience! Also,my bill for all this drama was $916.63...which needs to be adjusted as I was charged a shop rate of 5.10 hours ..when installation shouldn't of been more than 1 30 hours! Ridiculous excessive pricing! Kind regards,. William ***Additional information- As of September 8,2025 I've reached out to Colonial Chevrolet,of New London's General manager, Mr.Paul Smith, on 3 occasions since my Horrible service experience on August 22,2025...even sent him several pictures and a video showing pristine MINT CONDITION of my carbon fiber steering wheel with detailed information about this whole unprofessional, experience and especially being lied to by the masters technician...don't insult my intelligence...I have video proof and screenshot of every angle! So far Mr.Smith has ignored me and my terrible service and $916.63 bill that I paid in good faith...as a loyal long time corvette enthusiasts purchasing 14 brand new corvettes throughout my life time I really can not get over Mr.Paul Smith as the GM and his lack of communication, professionalism as a GM and his lack of respect! My next email is going to GM's corporate offices!
Bena at the Service Counter is always very accommodating, knows what is needed and always shines!
This was s service issue. The service person (Mark) was exceptional. The two issues were detailed on the work orders quickly and my car was repaired overnight. A third problem was found that will result in a substantial billing (>$7,000). Fortunately we had an extended warranty that will cover nearly all the expense. Mark coordinated discussions with the warranty folks and arranged for a loaner during the two day repair period. I'm very pleased with the service department and personnel.
