Drove three hours from Austin to Houston for my husband to test drive his dream truck he has been researching for six months. We were in communication with this dealership about this specific truck for weeks. It was finally ready after a recall fix, texted that we were driving in. When we got there thats when they found out a deposit was put down on the truck THE NIGHT BEFORE. No message, call or email was sent to us before we made the three hour drive. Tried to get us a deal on a brand new truck but it was not worth it. Then told we were going to get a full tank of gas for the travel... waited for 30 minutes on that. Gas tank empty and a whole Saturday wasted.
I had a very frustrating experience due to poor communication and lack of professionalism. I test drove a truck last week and, once I decided I was ready to move forward, I called to confirm the vehicle was available and had my credit run. I was told there would be no down payment and that they could keep me close to the payment I wanted. Based on that, I let the salesperson know I would be coming in later that day to sign the paperwork. I texted around 3:30 PM confirming I would arrive between 5:00–5:30 PM, and he acknowledged it and asked me to let him know when I was on the way—which I did. When I arrived at the dealership and asked for him, he informed me the truck had already been sold and immediately tried to show me a different vehicle. What made this even more frustrating is that the vehicle was still listed as available in their online inventory at the time I arrived. A simple call or text would have prevented a wasted trip and an unnecessary credit inquiry. This could have been avoided with basic communication, which should be the bare minimum when a customer’s credit and time are involved.
Had an oil change on June 4, 2024. Started seeing fluid on the ground whenever I parked the vehicle. Had my husband look at it and discovered oil was leaking on the ground. Tried to get service appt this past Fri and Sat but the message stated the service dept was closed. Needless to say I had to get the vehicle checked out and found out the the gasket was not tightened after the last oil change. Had to get a new oil change and thank goodness for that dealership’s expertise in analyzing and fixing the careless error of Tejas service department. Will never go back to Tejas now renamed Space City! Very costly error
They lie and don’t give a good deal. They charge high interest rates by lying
Very satisfied with the service manager, he was very knowledgeable and was very accommodating and right on time as he predicted
So I get the notice that my second key is available. I go o the dealer and then they have to order the key. They get the key and I go to the dealer. So I arrive and they write up the car. They get the new key programmed and finish but they forget to tell me. I get a notice that my Prius doors are locked, but still no service advisor. So after another 30 minutes I go ask the status of my car. So I ask the status of my car and they say who is your service advisor; Jose Silva. They locate him and he i busy with another customer but he says he will check on my car. They keys new and old have been on his service desk for 40 minutes, but he neglected to tell me. I say my car has been out there for 40 minutes ; he says it couldn't have been that long. So the service advisor takes the keys to the check out desk. I am third in line because there is only one checkout person and the lady at the front of the line is arguing about a refund. The refund lady takes 20 minutes to resolve , So after 1 hour and 45 minutes I get my second key and checkout. Pure incompetence at Tejas service.
