BEWARE: Dishonest and Exploitative – Honda of Gainesville Will Scam You My wife and I recently visited Honda of Gainesville to buy a car for our daughter—a moment that was supposed to be exciting and memorable for our family. Instead, this dealership turned it into an infuriating nightmare by scamming us out of nearly $6,000. While I was present, the salesperson quoted us a specific trade-in value and car price. Everything seemed fair, and we calculated the deal to fit comfortably within our budget. Confident in what we were told, I left to take our youngest son home, leaving my wife to finalize the paperwork with our daughter. That’s when Honda of Gainesville took advantage of the situation. They deliberately changed the numbers, raising the vehicle price by $2,000 and slashing the trade-in value by $4,000. They completely disregarded the deal we had agreed upon. My wife trusted them to honor their word, but instead, they manipulated her and my daughter during this special moment. To make matters worse, they didn’t provide printed paperwork for review—instead, they handed over a USB with the documents, likely hoping we wouldn’t realize the deception until it was too late. When we got home and reviewed the paperwork, we discovered their blatant fraud. It’s clear that Honda of Gainesville preys on women and exploits trust. What should have been a happy milestone for my wife and daughter became an infuriating experience due to the dishonesty and manipulation of this dealership. I strongly urge anyone—especially women and families—to avoid Honda of Gainesville at all costs. They are untrustworthy and will take advantage of you the first chance they get. Do not let them ruin your car-buying experience like they did ours.

I recently purchased a Honda Passport from Honda Gainesville. Initially, I was quite disappointed with the buy due to an issue that I noticed right after the purchase. However, I want to emphasize how impressed I was with their customer service. Despite my initial frustration, the team at Honda Gainesville was incredibly helpful. They listened to my concerns with patience, addressed the problem promptly, and made sure it was resolved to my full satisfaction. Their support turned a negative experience into a positive one. I truly appreciated their professionalism and dedication to customer care. Overall, while the buying experience had a rocky start, the way they handled the situation convinced me that I made the right choice with Honda Gainesville! I’m now enjoying my Honda Passport, and I would recommend Honda Gainesville for their exceptional service!!! Thanks Paul McArthur, Luis Espania, Mark Couey, and all of Honda workers with a friendly welcoming smile..

10/10 Mark Anthony was a pleasant, honest, and upfront dealer. While test driving the vehicle Mark was extremely helpful in making sure we fully tested the capabilities of the car to ensure no issues were present. Despite our best efforts, upon pulling out of the dealership after purchase I drove about a mile before the tire pressure monitoring system notification and tire pressure light came on. I immediately took the car back and the Honda Service center proceeded to fix my issue free of charge. This is exactly why I went to Honda and not a used car dealer.

We had car stall while driving 2 yrs ago. Almost in a wreck. Dealer out of state and here couldn't figure out problem. Fast forward recall on fuel pump that cause you to stall while driving. Discussions on forums last year recall notice in jan. Honda corporate says fuel pump not available until fall unless problem. Started asking local for replacement based upon prior near accident. They say I'm on a priority list. Corporate says nothing ordered for me. And the kicker is that unless I have another near accident I have to wait until fall. I will never buy another honda again.

Great salesperson Philip B. - honest, knowledgeable, answered questions before we asked. Very personable. We didn't plan on a purchase during our 1st visit but we did - he made it easy & pain-free. Would highly recommend. A lot of "extras" dealing with the dealership; car washes, free oil changes, great service department.

My sales person, DJ, listened to my requests on my text before I went into the dealership and communicated them with his managers. My time was respected. My finances were respected. My requirement to communicate with a family member before agreeing to a deal was never questioned. Excessive extras were not added to the first proposal as they had been at another dealership the day before. DJ is a very polite, professional, and genuine man. Everyone I met at the dealership was very nice and not high pressure.
