What Others Say

Volkswagen of Danbury, Connecticut I paid $210 to Volkswagen of Danbury on May 21 for a diagnostic. They gave me a printed report, which I immediately saved to my phone in case anything shady happened later. That report specifically recommended replacing the fuel injector harness for an EPC light. My trusted mechanic used that exact report to try and order the part. He contacted Volkswagen multiple times over the course of more than two weeks with no response. When I called him today to follow up, he called Volkswagen again. This time, they claimed they never performed a full diagnostic. They said the part was never officially recommended and that it was only a suggestion. That is completely dishonest. Not only did I pay for the diagnostic, they handed me a printed report with that part listed as a necessary repair and followed up with calls urging me to bring the car back in. But now that I chose not to pay their $1400 estimate and go with my own mechanic, they are trying to rewrite the story. If I had not followed up today, I would still be waiting around with no answers and no part. Whether this is incompetence or a deliberate tactic to force customers into overpaying, the result is the same. It is unacceptable. I would not trust Volkswagen of Danbury to service a toy car at this point. Document everything and do not take their word for anything. Always get your receipts. Always save your reports. Always ask questions. If something feels off, it probably is. Protect your time, your money, and your vehicle. This experience has been nothing short of frustrating and suspicious. Do better.

I purchased my 2022 Taos through Sean Vines about two months ago and have been very pleased with the car and the service since then. Sean was informative, patient and worked with me to get to a price I was comfortable with. After mostly negative experiences with the last two dealers I worked with, I'd happily return to VW Danbury the next time I'm in the market for a vehicle.

Much apprecaited the service we received, the comfortable and easy exchanges between Joe Haddad and our family, the back and forth banter and of course, the result of our process. We are very happy and delighted with everyting about Volkswagen Danbury!
