This dealership is not honest at all. Bought a car to find out they erased the codes for a bad transmission. Also found the shocks and struts were bad even though a safety inspection stated all was good. A lot of fraudulent activity going on at Import Motors. Save yourself the headaches and financial misery by staying away from this dealership.
They lied when we looked at the car, lied when we test drove it, and lied when we purchased it. The car was a disaster. A former Imports Ltd. employee saw the car when I took it in for major repairs and guessed immediately where I had bought it. He pointed out to me the cover-ups and cosmetic tricks they use to cover rust damage and other problems. Most dishonest bunch of crooks I have ever dealt with. I'd hate to have their karma. It will catch up with them if it hasn't already.
We worked with a nice sales guy there. Everything seemed legit. But once we got the car off the lot (a BMW), the check engine light came on. There were other things but we figured we would be okay since we purchased the extended warranty coverage. Everything that could have been repaired was declined as a pre-existing condition. But what really makes this a case of crooked sales is this car could not possibly have passed the safety inspection. So whoever they use passes and passes along whatever problems exist. When I called in to talk to them on behalf of my wife within about a minute of the call starting, the "manager", (who knows who he really is) started this strong passive-aggressive push telling me to calm down. I was completely calm so this is one of their tactics to try to spin you up. Sorry for them it didn't work. I remained calm and told them we could just have the state check out the inspection results. He then went into well if you want to go to arbitration, we've never lost an arbitration in 10 years. I had not mentioned arbitration nor did I have any interest. I just wanted a vehicle that would pass a safety inspection for my wife to drive. He became more belligerent and then they sent a letter to my wife saying they don't have to do anything for us and that "some man" had called in and that it would be better for her to talk directly with them. Sorry folks, you don't get to decide if a husband can call and talk to a ferociously aggressive used car salesman (well hidden during the sales process, I might add) on behalf of his wife. If you really wanted to work things out, you would not have gotten so hostile towards me while I was speaking calmly and looking for a solution. Tell your friends, these guys are BAD NEWS. It won't surprise me if they are investigated by the AG one day. If there are a bunch of folks out there with similar stores, perhaps a class action lawsuit would be in order.
Tryed paying cash for a BMW but couldn't have it inspected first. No deal, this dealership is a scam stay away unless you like giving your money to thief's i would send my worst enemy to this place Dave C the owner is taking your money
I went to Imports looking to buy a vehicle. Walked I. With 10,000 cash and was ignored by all staff. After 20 minutes of not one person trying to service my wife and I we got up and left. Walking past staff who still didn't acknowledge our presence. I will spend my money any other place.
I trade often and am always on the lookout for quality pre-owned German cars. Imports Limited usually has a few lower mileage BMWs on their lot that pique my interest. If you notice, some of those cars have sat there for a very long time. I tried to contact them on multiple occasions for trade appraisals, After they took my information, they never returned my call. I am not one to wait, so I did business with someone else. They always sound very shady on the phone and ask questions multiple times. They also prefer to text. As I said, I trade a lot and have decided I wont call them again, even if they have a nice vehicle on their lot. Communication is the key to keeping a good business relationship.
