Andrew Conner demonstrates the business acumen of a 10-year-old. When working with buyers who spec vehicles over $100,000, if you express dissatisfaction with the level of communication, his response is condescending—using a tone better suited for a child. In my view, both the communication standards and his demeanor are completely unacceptable. Altering the narrative to suit his perspective simply because a customer raises concerns reflects a lack of emotional intelligence. Rather than diffusing situations, he escalates them. This behavior reveals an inability to understand a customer’s needs or communicate a meaningful resolution. Fortunately, not everyone at this business displays the same emotional reactivity.
