Purchased a personalauto from the General Manager, This was a 2020 Model Silverado truck 1500 Series.
**UPDATE 10/15/2024- I'll be putting as much of my experience that will fit out here now that the MO Att. Gen. has given up. Cameron Bennett the sales manager was let go due to the incident but yet the dealership will admit no wrongdoing. Brad Geren is now the business manager who also still handles the financing w/consumers though he is the one who asked me to return to the dealership under false pretenses (said I needed to come in to simply resign a contract 10 days after I initially signed).Once in his office he said we needed to talk about something first & proceeded to tell me I needed to lie to the lenders verification dept. via phone call that the vehicle had navigation & a sunroof (to increase its value) AND to lie that I made substantially more money as the "only way to get the vehicle" otherwise they would keep my $2500 down payment if I chose to walk. I was obviously in shock & I said, when you emailed me asking me to come in to resign, did you know at that time that I would need to lie in order to obtain the loan, but you didn't want to put it in the email because then there would be proof? He denied saying he just wanted to "talk me through it" Brad stated they had a "good relationship" w/ the lender so he was sure they wouldn't ask for my paystubs that I provided the dealership. He then said IF the lender did decide to call my boss for verification of income, would my boss lie for me to help me! He told me the amount I needed to say I made monthly & even said when the verification department called me, don't answer it, let it go to voicemail, they would then call him to let him know they tried to reach me, he would then call me to "review" the details/income (the false information) so that I'd get it right. I ultimately said I'd go along w/the lie just so that I could leave the building w/my 7 month old as I was an hour away from home & none of my family were answering my calls to help me in that moment. That same night I returned w/2 family members who attempted to get my money back & return the car. Brad even admitted under pressure what he had done & said "You're right, I don't want to be doing this" whilst tearing up when angrily confronted by my uncle. I asked for copies of everything & we were laughed at; I have no idea if anything was forged. Then kicked out & told to return the next day when Cameron was back. In the meantime I was able to get in contact with 3 different lenders all w/the same consensus that Brad/Cameron submitted false information, stating I made easily a couple grand more monthly in order to obtain the loans, and when another specifically asked for proof of income, the dealership ghosted them. Ultimately I was able to return the vehicle the next day & receive my full $2500 down payment. Why? Because they were in the wrong and they knew it! What they did is financial fraud against me & to the MULTIPLE lenders. In the past couple months I have filed many reports against them through various sources & am still working w/investigators. I have been harassed by the marketing manager Terry as have my friends/family who have left 1 star reviews w/no context; he's threatened to sue, find our IP addresses, etc. Had I not had the proof from 3 of the lenders that they drastically inflated my income in comparison to what I had provided, you better believe they would have kept my $2500. I'm sure I will receive some sort of backlash or threats to be sued, but at this point and time be my guest, I have proof & witnesses to the information I've listed above. It would not be in their best interest to that as then they would have to provide even more paperwork proving the fraud on their side. Take my advice & please go somewhere else. The amount of stress this has put me through is not something I want anyone else to go through.
Paid 2k for a bumper-to-bumper warranty on a used van.. air conditioning didn't work...said everything was covered except a small valve which they couldn't explain what it did or where it was exactly then charging me $300 extra. I don't know what actually was fixed, but my ac system was full of stop leak .
This has to be one of the shadiest dealerships in KC. They will string you along for a week then sell the car right out from under you. I went to look at an Acura ILX on a Monday afternoon and since it was a used car I wanted to have a shop I trust to take a look at it before making a purchase. I got an appointment set up at my shop for the next afternoon at 1PM and let the sales person know at 9:15AM on Tuesday, everything was good at this point. Get a phone call back at about 10:30AM asking if I can take it to a different shop because they were "just getting pretty busy." I made a few phone calls to see if I could get something else set up with another trusted shop but could not get anything set-up until Wednesday. The sales person was off on Wednesday and I had work stuff to take care of Thursday so we agreed to a Friday meeting to have it looked at. Set up the appointment with my shop and again everything was looking good. I got a call on Thursday about 9AM saying that they wanted to let me know that "it looks like the car did sell the other day." At no point was I informed that there was other interest in the vehicle. As a salesman myself this is 100% what I aspire not to be and is a great lesson in how not to treat customers. Thank you for the lesson Jack Miller!
Great fast work! Good company smiles all around! They got my sister the car she wanted and didn’t stop until she did! Jimmy and Cameron are the best!
